/^\wonderful landscapes behind the Pyramid stage at Glasto/^\ | | Well have to admit the photo is a little cr*p, looking at it now. But it was green, with many trees. The tor is just to the right of the red peak of a what looks like a huge teepee! Bruce Springsteen was playing at the time. The pyramid stage was specially built to spatially powerful dimensions.
I would be interested to hear about the wonderful landscapes at other festivals. Believe "The Burning Man Festival" has a very surreal desert landscape...
Over to you...

dreamhealer (430) | 7 months ago | Pity I can't upload a photo in my comment. This could have been a more lively audience photo, when Blur were on stage. And unfortunately, when further back in the crowd, there tend to be more people sitting on their beach chairs! (Pity more of them, couldn't have taken them home - they seemed to be the major item abandoned, next to tents).
This is my first Glastonbury, I've been to. And I would guess that two years ago or more, there would have been a lot more older, wealthier types attending. What I saw was a good cross-section of ages. There were many wearing football shirts, and a very good proportion of younger people. What was disappointing, was that they didn't particularly seem aware of the environment, with many seeming to ignore the "Love the farm, leave no trace" message. This was particularly evident in the camping fields...

p1kef1sh (5735) | 7 months ago | Glastonbury and that part of Somerset has a haunted feel about it. My daughter went to school not too far from there and I met up with some myLotters in Glastonbury itself just a fortnight ago. It's a very atmospheric town. I am pleased that you enjoyed yourself. My comment was really said very tongue in cheek. LOL.
