Do you or don't you like smoking?  |

 I personally don't like smoking. I don't smoke and it really annoys me when people smoke in public areas as if they are giving no regard to other people around. I probably bet they know the health hazards that it brings not only to them but to others who can inhale the smoke. I know that it seems to be a very hard habit to break but can't they just be considerate? Like smoke in areas where there's not a lot of people? There are some designated smoking areas yet a lot aren't following those. They just smoke whereever and whenever they want.
How about you? Are you annoyed by such actions? Or is it just tolerable?

i don't see what's wrong with people smoking outdoors. in the UK smokers are only allowed to smoke outdoors yet people still complain even if they're standing in a designated area to smoke.
people drive cars in public, polluting the air, often making journeys which are no further that a walking distance. inner cities are becoming almost intolerable due to car exhaust fumes but this is seen as ok. i think people should get off of their lazy backsides and walk whenever they can instead of driving then maybe they would have a right to complain about smoking.

no offense but tell us one good thing about smoking...before camparing it with lawn mower, driving car.
well i think lawn mower & car are helpful...what is helpful about smoking?
its bad for you and other and you say you see no reason why folks cant smoke??
well about the sweating you might as well see handsome men walking half naked...sweating...that you might fancy about everyday...lol..and as if you don't sweat and you don't smell.lol

Hey, and what about all the folks that pass wind in public. I think that is disgusting. I have to smell it. And there are some days I just cant get that horrid smell out of my nose. I dont think its at all right that there allowed to do that in public. I believe they need to ban people from farting in public. | |

So therefore when you run a lawn mower or run a car your putting a million times more into the air then an idiot smoking a cig. So do me a favor quit complaining about folks smoking. If they want to spend there hard earned cash to buy a pack of smokes then let them.
In fact there is a Dr. in Maine that suggests people smoke that have nerve problems. It works. It calms them down. So there is a benefit from cigt. smoking. | |

I did not like to smoke around people that did not smoke I either smoked alone in my car or outside the house. I gave up smoking when I got pregnant from my last kid and that has been almost two years ago and yes there are times that I feal like smoking but I have not went back to it. I don't know how I did it because my mom smokes alot too and she those not care were she smokes but when I was pregnant and after I had my baby I tried not to be around her when she was smoking. She got mad and told me I was a hipocrit because I smoked before getting pregnant but I told her "your right I smoked but not any more".
It those annoy me when people do not care when they smoke but I also respect people that smoke when they are smoking in in their car or in there house. If tehy smoke in my car or in my house normally I wont say a thing if they are not family but if they are I would tell them that my kids are in the house and that they should smoke outside.

| 6. bhabytart (238) | 7 months ago |  hello there!!! good morning to you!! i do not smoke just like you... and i am also annoyed when people smoke. sometimes i tell a person if she or he could stop smoking specially in public vehicles... and sometimes i get a positive response but sometimes not. i also have friends who smoke but when im with them they try not to smoke. they are very considerate with me.
hmmm.... i think people who smoke should try to look for a place where they can smoke... there are smoking areas isnt it?

But in public areas where there are children, people should smoke in designated place only. Everyone know it isn't good for health neither for them nor others. But there are people who just don't understand and smoke in public area, sometimes even right into your face. well smoking is a habit and it really might be hard to stop but at least they should stop smoking in public places. | |

I have nothing against the people who smoke, but I do not understand why people would waste so much money on products that will kill them or give them cancer. I have read a cool quote somewhere on the net that goes, "Cancer cures smoking". I found this really interesting because it is a quote that makes no sense until you make sense of it yourself - if you know what I mean.
