Cooking is a profession have more importance to make nice foods, but
at the same time it is too difficult to do all the work alone in the
kitchen. Do you assist your husband or wife or Bf or Gf on cooking????

My girlfriend loves to cook and she cooks really very good. To assist her I sometimes go in the kitchen and ask her if she needs any of my help or not. Most of the time she says that she can handle it on her own but I still help her out.
But sometimes due to my presence in the kitchen the cooking gets all messed up. At that moment I know that its not a place where I can show of my skills.

Cooking for me is not a profession, it is a hobby. I always extend my hand to my hubby if he cooks. But most of the time, he wants to prepare it by himself. But he likes me to watch how he prepares and cook it.

Sometimes i do help him on making paste, the masala, etc. But i do get to learn most of the time from him. He also do learn from me since I cook Filipino foods and we exchange recipes. He is a very good cook like his father. My father in law is a chef. But he does not teach any of his family members of how to cook. They learn it by themselves. But my hubby is a natural. He does cook with a twist of experimentation but ends up well.

Although most of the time, I am the cook and prepares food for my hubby. The only days that my hubby is the chef is when it is his off day and that means I can relax far away from the kitchen lol

No, lol. I do all the cooking and my husband doesn't help. He doesn't know anything about cooking and doesn't want to learn, so even if I have had a really long day at work he doesn't help with preparing the evening meal. What he will do often is help with tidying the kitchen, the washing up and putting things away, so I can't complain that much I suppose!

Hi Winewhisky,

Hope you are doing fine.

You can not blame your husband because he does not know anything
in the kitchen and more or less he don't have any interest to learn
cooking. So try to cook some good meals and give him, he will be happy.

Thanks for your comments.

Have a nice day.

Best of luck.

I am the only one responsible for cooking all the meals. My husband never touched it and I would like him just to be the eater and wait. Becaue he will just make a mess when he comes into the kitchen.

w00t I do understand why you want your hubby to wait and just eat, coz he is making a disaster when he is in the kitchen heheh.
Cheers

My wife does the cooking and I do the eating with lots of criticism! I am too lazy to involve myself into domestic chores and my wife does not complain about such a behavior.

But my father always extends a helping hand to my mother whenever she cooks. (Peeling and cutting vegetables, scraping coconut, grinding things at the mixie etc). My mother carries an air as though my father is duty bound to do such chores. While my father does not have any qualms about it and is always be happy to voluntarily help others, I somehow does not appreciate my mother's stance. So I made it a point when I got married that I will not volunteer a helping hand unless my wife asks for it.

Thankfully, my wife is an efficient and fast cook who can handle everything herself.

Hi Rajan,

Thanks for your comments with open minded.

Absolutely, you are right, most of the husbands are not willing to help or to learn about the cook, as you know very well about the cooking, too difficult to handle alone in the kitchen. Most of the helps like grinding, peeling, mixing, cutting, always expected by your wife, but unfortunately if you don't likes to do
then she is not in the position to compel you to do such types of works. So try to help your wife in the kitchen, if you are interested, to make excellent dishes to eat with peaceful mind.

Thanks for your comments.

Have a great day.

Best of luck.
