Hehe talk about anything under the SON? or under the SUN. I just noticed. Anyways, you are correct, each websites has its pros and cons. I am registered to almost ten websites and I have chosen them based on comparing and trying. I have been to many websites and most of them even contain viruses. So just be careful. Make sure that you have your anti virus installed properly particularly when you join a PTC website. Just a piece of information but I do hope that it helps you a lot. The only reason I keep coming back is so that I can go ahead and reach cashout. Then I'm out of here. The payments are way too low for me.

p1kef1sh - yeah, I make payout about every month, didn't this month cause i was busy with other things and spent a lot of time just hijacking topics which you know doesn't pay but is a lot of fun. Heck, some months I even make $40-50 if I do some tasks along with posting but I've been too busy writing books lately to care for tasks. But I don't regret a minute of it!

First, this topic was written tongue in cheek, meaning that it should be very clear that I won't accept friend requests from people like you who are simply chasing pennies and have no interest in the social value of this site. Second, if you are so determined to make payout, remember this; you get paid for one response and one comment per discussion, sfter that you are posting for free and wasting time you could be finding a new topic to post in. As the topic originator, I receive nothing for responding to my respondents as I was paid for the topic when the first respondent validated my topic, thus I am responding to everyone from a purely social standpoint. Can you see the difference now?

What's wrong with you? At least I'm contributing something while I am here, the people you should be complaining about are those that are trying to make money and are willing to break the rules to do that.

Last year I consistently mad $25 a month from here. I have lost some interest this year and that has decreased. $10- isn't that hard to reach I don't quite understand why you think that it's too little. I don't think about the money and it seems to pile up (a small pile admittedly) regardless. It does involve some interaction and to build up a friends list. If I had referrals who were active too then I could make a lot of money. I have heard talk of an Indian guy who makes $thousands a year here!

If I had all the time in the world then I would stay on here but I have to earn some money for some of my expenses and since I'm a full time student and unemployed I obviously have to choose sites that pay more over myLot and other sites that pay low.

It's hard to believe someone is making thousands per year here, he must have hundreds of active referrals!

SomeCowgirl, it's probably true. Someone from Indonesia or somewhere over there did this to another site, Ciao.com, which closed. They had over 1,000 referrals and probably were part of the reason why that site failed (At Ciao you got $1 per referral PLUS 50% of their earning for the first 6 months!!!). Over here I doubt that will happen because myLot does not pay much to begin with.

darkjedi1, I noticed you have only been here for 2 weeks, welcome to myLot, where more than half of the members here have signed up primarily to make money.

It's called sustainability. If a site is paying out more than its income, of course the site's going to go downhill until it's gone. Therefore, anything that pays you a ridicoulous amount of cash probably won't last long, that is, if they do actually pay you. Keep in mind that there is also hosting fees for the site, & probably licensing fees to use the software for the site.

K46620 - don't let a users profile mislead you, we sometimes quit our old accounts when they become cumbersome and start new ones. I have been here since 2006 just like KK above me but this is my second account. myLot allows you to quit and rejoin. There is no one in this topic who has not been here for a very long time except you. Thus you might understand why they would so vehemently defend the social value of this site. As you said above you can't wait to reach payout and leave, once you understand what this site is really about, you might change your mind even though you won't make more than $40 or $50 on a good month. If you don't take a look at the number of members myLot lists, there are only a few thousand of us actually active, the rest, they came and went like you plan to.

Good points Strongheart, I should clarify when I said I would leave, I'm really planning to keep my account but I won't worry about being on here much.

I understand the social community here is what keeps a lot of you together. I have some buddies here that I met on other sites and myLot is one way to keep in touch with them.

It is strange mylot lets you start new accounts, this is the only site I know that let's you do that.

Actually, the gaming sites I play on are the same way, Crimson Moon and Vaperida. You can't have multi's but if you cancel your account, you can start a new one. You can even do it the same day as long as you submit your cancellation before creating the new account and you don't log back into the old account once you start using the new one.

Hi K46620! I agree, this site really doesn't pay that much but I like the discussions and I like the how it makes you...well...think a little instead of just clicking and clicking. I like imparting my thoughts to other people as well. But $470+ online is a real achievement! I applaud you for that.:)

Thanks eezaortile, I do sometimes like it here but I it takes at least an hour and probably much longer to earn just a dollar, so I limit my time here as there are other site that obviously pay better.

That is pretty much why I come in to DJ. its more because its fun rather then for the money. I really dont need the cash, I just do it for the fun people here and for the friends I have made. Yeah, we talked about it in another topic a bit and I got filled in. Have you ever been to AZ dj? That's sure to be a new experience if not, I lived in whitman, pheonix and flagstaff as a kid. Back then we used to go to tuscon to the old tombstone re-enactments, that was cool. And then there was this club out on the higway called Mr. Lucky's. I was a kid but I could tell you some stories about Arizona!

That is damn cool. Well ive driven thru arizona lol. Once on my way to utah, then back again from utah to california. Then I went to Phoenix to pick up my ex girlfriend when I moved to austin, who flew there so I didnt have to drive the whole way by myself. Then again when I got my car from my parents in california and drove thru on the way back to oklahoma lol.

That's cool it won't be a big surprise then. I've seen a lost of people cross the mississippi river and basically fall apart because of the climate changes and how different life is in the western half of this country. Myself, I like it and can adapt either way.

Oh it was the opposite for me. I grew up in california. Lived in the south the last 8 or so years. Yeah talk about climate changes and culture changes and all that. My goddess the south is different then the west. Would be nice to get back west where things are normal lol.

If I had to post to make a living I would probably not even get on line but I come here for social interaction like you and enjoy the time spent with friends. It can be a letdown at times though when everyone else is busy or seems to be caught up in topics that you just can't get into because you feel detached somehow. BUt yeah, I'm here for ya'll not the pennies!

There are a lot of scams online and plenty of people that will try to lead you astray... but that does not mean we should stayed cuddled up with myLot and not try anything else. I have made over $470 online and less than 1% of that has come from myLot.

Right, we can make a lot more offline I guess but with high unemployment I'm sure it would take awhile to find a job. I read a funny discussion here not too long ago. In the title it said something like "make $100 a week". Basically it said to go to the help wanted section of your newspaper and find a real job. However a lot of people responded with "Send me the link" or something similar... LOL, proves that a lot of people here just read the title and not the discussion.

That discussion was actually the one that came to mind when I responded to this discussion. Yes, I noticed myself that a lot of people had responded with "send me the link!" I guess you can't blame them for wanting to make as much money as possible, lol. But making it online? It's almost impossible. I've given up my thoughts of making that much online, and now have decided to go to school and just make money in my community.

Oh yeah, there's much more to be made off line when we are working. On line is more social than anything for me. In fact, when I joined myLot it was for the social aspect and I didn't even realize I was earning until admin sent me a message to update my paypal info, I came in about a week before the end of the month and they were much more attentive back in 2006. Now we're lucky if admin answers legitimate complaints!

But, that's what all of you are here for, to help get through it one day at a time!

I know that it seems so terrible, I've tried to contact them and they still haven't answered. Although they do say that they'll read it and only respond if it's something legitimate. Well I guess they got the people they need/ want on the site, and are now racking in the dough, so as long as we're good little boys and girls, they don't bother us. I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

It's not a good thing as people don't feel as comfortable as they would if they knew admin was truly looking out for their best interests. It has been the cause of decline here since they spend less time interacting with the membership. I know of several people who were deleted and admin never responded to their queries as to why and I know for a fact, saw with my own eyes, that a couple of them were beyond reproach which led me to believe they were cancelled as a result of underhanded cutbacks to save on payouts and admin has done nothing to allay these thoughts for any of us. Someone doing a daily hit check on this sight would be surprised if they compared those numbers to the population listed in the lower left corner!

I think that some website advertise that you might earn more then myLot but it might not be as trustworthy as mylot. i've heard many great things about this website and continue to use at as well as other earning websites.

I guess even online has to downsize in some ways. I would guess myself that it was because of needing money to pay other members and advertising allowances/ the domain itself that would cause mylot to ban those members who do not or did not do anything wrong. The fact that they are less then adamant to qualm our inquiries, well that's just wrong lol. This is a great site despite the earnings, though I'll admit I need the money for my fiance and I. I don't expect more then I put into the site though.

Have you done any tasks? Between posting and tasks I was able to make over $40 last month. the four paragraph tasks pay the best and are the easiest I think.
