Why does someone always RUN off stage on Maury Povich?  | |  i am not a fan of maury povich's show but did watch a bit of it while channel surfing today. i dont care what the topic is, cheating husbands or wives, who the baby dadd is, whatever. on what seems to be each and every show, someone is always so upset that they have to run off stage, maury usually goes after them and comforts them while they boo-hoo their hearts out. if i were a guest on his show and was told that my husband/boyfriend had cheated on me (and proven through a lie detector), i'll be darned if i would go running off the stage! i would be right up front and center, in his face telling him to get the hell out of my house, just pack his things and GET OUT, knowing that i had the upper hand in things! i wouldnt go making a fool of myself and run off stage screaming, crying, throwing myself on the floor, etc. oh hell no. i'd be mad but i would also get even! why do you think that someone on every show has to run off? are they told to do that or what? i remember when his show was fairly decent to watch but with each passing day, he seems to be turning into another jerry springer show!

I think they tell them to run off stage - everyone is going to do that. I would do just like you said you would do. Be in their face and telling them its over GOODBYE. I think they have them do that to make it more intersting for the audience. I can't believe that this show and Jerry Springer are still on TV after all these years.

The camera follows them and I think that is what they want. It is a pretty hoaky show. Can't believe Maury has stayed with it for so long. Making a fool out of themselves is the key element here I am thinking.

| 4pawsx4 (711) | 5 months ago | i think its staged too. what really irks me is, the woman finds out her man is cheating, says its over with, done, kapoot. she's mad as hell and you think nothing is going to change her mind. then they send in a video a few months later and they are just sooooo happy, doing great and expecting a/another kid (like thats going to fix anything). i sit and scratch my head and wonder 'what happened to turn them from blabbering, whining idiots on tv, hating each other to turn them into such a loving couple!?'. there's some mighty sick people out there, sick or mentally messed up! maury, he should have stuck with 'a current affair' show. now, that was a good, interesting show. now.... he's trash tv at its finest! | |

| | | 4. General_Spacey (1193) | 5 months ago |  The reason why si that they usually make such a BIG and LOUD presentation as to why the kid looks like the guy; accused of being the father. They usually claim that it can NOT be anyone else, that they were faithful 100% of the time.
When the DNA paternity results come in, and the guy is NOT the father, there is shock, and off they go.
One woman had to go to Maury 18 times or so to find the father.
She was one who yelled and was 1,000% sure the first guy was the daddy. After the first time; and with each following appearance, she did tone down her verbal assaults.
Also, after the first appearance, there would be 2 or m ore guy to be tested, with five being the highest number tested.
In a way, the Maury show is a slice of America. A sicker side of the USA to be sure.
But when a mother does not know who her baby's daddy is, is a shame.
