More MISSLES Fired on U.S.!!!!!!

Yes we should be very concerned about this new statement of affairs. I am really worried also that Obama will not do anything more than 'TALK' to N. Korea about this turn of events. I am starting to get really scared about this. Where is McCain indeed, he would not take this sitting down, that's for sure....LORI

yep thats what happens when you elect a muslim to run america, he'll sit a wait until we get hit. the only thing he cares about is spending OUR money and putting us in hock for generations. my god the chinese own most of us already and japan the real estate .

Are you seriously saying that you would prefer to engage militarily with the N Koreans. Because that's the only answer that someone like McCain would have. Some people never seem happy until they have orchestrated the purchase of a few more burial places for the young men and women of your country. Don't Americans ever tire of war? Most of which cost them dear. I see that you have children. I sincerely hope that you never have to stand at an airport as one of their bodies is unloaded with full military pomp and circumstance whilst you stand there thinking "Why".

Well yes I am seriously saying that we need to utilize our military to do something about what is going on over there. Our military is one of the best around and while it does mean that we could have a loss of life of some of our young people the alternative is to allow North Korea to continue on with as they are doing, have them bomb our country and have even more deaths. There is no easy answer, do I want my children to die while at war, no not really, but do I want my children and other innocent children to die when they are yet still children here on our own soil as a result as an attack on our country from the likes of NK or any one else, hell no. We have to protect ourselves and sitting down with the leaders of NK will not result in them stopping what they are doing. War is a messy thing and at times it is a very necessary thing

I admire your candour. I don't agree with you at all. But I like people that are honest in their beliefs. Remember if N Korea is engaged, so will their ally China in some fashion. Now that really would be bad news.

Thank you so much, I understand that China would be first to step up to fight with N Korea, but I also know that if something is not done to stop this that we will end up with a missile hitting our soil, either in Hawaii, Alaska or the coast line of the states and that would be horrible, if that happens we will be at WWIII, I do not see many countries tolerating that kind of behavior from them. I just wish that it could be stopped prior to the loss of civilian lives.

This set of missles were fired off the eastern coast of S. Korea, yes into the ocean, but toward the U.S. They are wanting another war with us, & seeing how far they can push us into war.This is very worrisome to me...Lori

But that is where they have some sea to fire at. South, North and West are not options for them. By your argument, Canada should be frightened too but you don't hear a peep from them.

N Korea are just posing and showing their people how advanced they are and to take their minds off the terrible problems they have at home.

Beware, this could turn out to be much serious than it seems. It is not only showing off their little (is it so little after all) power. Hitler almost conquered Europe and Germany had come from ashes of the 1st war. Really, Korea may really be an headache to Europeans and Americans in the future.

There is some truth in that, Dave. Germany was squeezed so dry as retribution for loosing WW1 that it forced them into WW2.

If the UN sanctions on N Korea are made too comprehensive then it may force them into dangerous tactics. It is such a mad-dog society there, anything could happen.

Lori. It is far too easy to slip into military engagement. Diplomacy must be allowed to run its course. That's what Obama is doing. I am so tired of gunboat diplomacy that was supported by Bush and Blair and which ultimately cost our countries dear. We seem so happy to sacrifice our young people for causes that the population doesn't even understand half the time.

I agree with Mr Pike on this one. We're talking about a nuclear capable country here that has strong China ties. Diplomacy MUST be the initial course of action here and it's only if happy mediums are not found using these methods first that military force should be considered. Physical action should always be an absolute LAST resort tactic.

Y'all know I am not an 0bama supporter by any stretch of the imagination, BUT in this instance I actually kind of agree with you guys. Now is not the time to over-react. However, if N. Korea or anyone else does actually hit the US with ANYTHING, the time for talk will be over and action MUST be taken.

I agree with that. Any actual violation of US territory/assets changes things completely. In the meantime however, jaw jaw is better than war war.
