can you TRUST A STRANGER? has MONEY gone to your head?

I don't trust anyone online or offline; however, I really don't think that giving your e-mail address to a perfect stranger is all that awful other than the fact that, yeah they may sell it and you will be flooded with lots and lots of offers and forever cleaning out your inbox. That's as far as I would trust a stranger. I'd give my email out to just anyone. wig491@gmail.com here it is.

A total stranger? I may somehow give my trust to a person i only met for the first time offline up to a certain level, but i'd be wary doing the same online. I made a great many friendships in my life because of mutual trust but meeting strangers face to face is very much different as when meeting them through the internet. I've been wanting to give my email addy to a great friend here (through PM, of course) but i feel i still do not have enough of a credential to ask for that friend's email address, too. I have just a few number of posts to my name to show how true i am to mylot and if having thousands of posts makes a criteria to qualify me to deserve getting my friends' addresses then i'm afraid i'll have a long time waiting!

I already trust some friends here, i do not consider them strangers anymore. They already occupy a place in my heart. Perhaps i'll just have to give myself a boost and go ask my friend her email addy now. "No guts, no glory!"

this is one of the reasons i have multiple emails. i dont usually give email addresses right away even those junk ones when ask for it, sometimes i would just say, leave me message here. but if it is really something that needs to be sent to my email, i would give one of my email for 'other' purposes. i have 4 emails that i am using, for family and close friends, for friends, for my online earning stuff, and the other one just for those kinds.

no I can not trust anyone on internet as its really a virtual world and when real world has nothing to do with a trusty friend then how can we do this mistake on a virtual system..computer technology has touched various height that we can't even think ..any one can hack ur profile or system in seconds and u would remain unaware of it unless u own a good security system.yes money has made people mad and to earn money they turn their mind bulbs off and give their whole address to a complete stranger.

I have given my email address to strangers, but never in a place that anyone could get it! I get enough spam, I really dont want more.

I Do Not give my email address out to just anyone. I get enough junk mail as it is without opening up a can of worms like that. If I don't know the person that is going to be using it and/or what they need it for, other than family and friends, I don't give it out. Who has time to go through a bunch of junk email not to mention you never know what someones intent could be. They could be using your email for illegal activity or anything. I also do not share my phone number and especially my physical address with strangers. The way the world is today you have to be very careful who you trust because there are so many out there with evil intent. I personally don't want any part of it! God Bless!

I have around five different Hotmail email addresses, two yahoo, one gmail, and one 'real' one. Typically I give out one of my Hotmail addresses so that I can converse with people via MSN. I would never post my phone number, address or last name, unless it was on a very trusted, PRIVATE site such as Google (I had to enter everything when signing up for Adsense).

I do have some great friends that I've met online, but I still wouldn't trust any of them enough to give them my address -- anyone who does that needs to get a lesson in internet safety;P.

I don't trust anyone anywhere. Just like interacting via net with friends,relatives that have moved away. Oh and of course shopping. Besides this is why you keep a account for anything that may become spam or virus causing . Seems like pages grab it up and never stop sending junk. I don't understand why any one would want their addy all over the net. either . But look at Susan Boyle starting on U-Tube,Have you ever heard such a beautiful voice.

I dare say money went to most peoples head by signing up for a site that offers 2 cents a message to make money..
Although most probably stuck around because they enjoy it,
