Can you describe your home town?  

I have read some stories about the bravery of the people in Texas. I think that your town is now very progressive economically an in terms of human resources. My home town is one of the poorest town in my country. But slowly, it is improving though in a snail-pace. It is one of the forgotten town but sits the 8th wonder of the world. We call it the Republic of Ifugao!

In my hometown, there are too busy people, in terms of work and business to provide income in the family, there are a lots of people here, and store, mall, school, restaurant, amusement park, churches, fast food, and all of the people are feel contented by singing, having party, dress nicely, and socializing with each other, sometimes their have a fight, in words, or in physical aspect and it easily controlled there anger and sometimes they argue everyday the same topics, the people here are very noisy, and always outside near their home.

I live in a village in Denmark. In Denmark there is a peninsula and more than 400 islands. Some of those islands are very small, but I live on one of the big islands (Funen) In my village there are around 1200 people, and we have a grocery store, a post office, a bakery, a bank, a school and a kindergarden. My home is not a farm, but there are many farms in my village. I wasn't born here and it took me a while to get used to living in the countryside, but now I enjoy living here. If we want to go shopping, go to the library or eat at a restaurant we have to go a nearby town. It is not a big place, the population is about 6000, but compared to the village where I live it it seems big Close to this town there is a small island called Baagoe. I have been there once, it is beautiful and quiet place.

Well for crying out loud if you was driving down 210 hwy in North Carolina or even down 401 Hwy in NC, you would most likely miss us. Kipling is about the smallest town there is. Sure there is a post office its about a 12'x12' room. Thats it. Other then that we do have a school. The Lafayette school is loacted in kipling and half of the Harnett county Elementary school children go there. Other then that we are pretty much full of Sub divisions, and Tobacco fields. And just in case if you want to do some sight seeing there is an indian museum about 1 mile from me, and 1/10 of a mile from the post office. Of course I actually took the kids there once it wasnt much to really look at. Some old run down log cabins was all we saw that were about ready to fall down, what they had to do with indians I do not know? Nor did I ask.

The good thing is that its 1 hour from Raleigh and 1 hour from Fayetteville. Of course I never drive in the city so therefore I never get to neither. The closest towns are Fuquay Varina (known for its huge flea market), Lillington, and Angier (known for its Crepe Myrtle days).

Im also in a little town near Cebu City called Argao. Its 2 hours away bus ride or an hour and half when youre on private car. Right now, i can say its booming. The municipal plaza, the newly built Gymnasuim and some barangay halls now have free Wi-Fi access, so if you have laptops, you can connect easily without a problem. We have 4 private pre-school and growing grade school. We also have private and public highschool and a State College which is already PAACO acredited. Since its near the beach, we have a line of beach resorts owned privately and one owned by the municipal where you can rent like php 200 per day usage of the cottage. early next year, they will start building the new AMALL (Argao Mall) as they call it. the church and the mayor are working hand in hand to beautify the town to attract tourist. We also have this Riverston castle, made entirely of riverstone and the when you get visit the place, its like youre going back to 18 centuries where knights and castles and kingdom like exist. the mayr has been working hard to clean our corrupton within the town, made sure the local transportation have place to park whle waiting for passengers. So, for the last 20 years, since the new mayor start running the town, its the only time we see a new Argao and better place to live. So we owe it all to him and hoping he will continue until he finishes 2 terms.

I live in China, and my hometown is a little town. Though it is not a big city, do not have so many modern techniques and facilities, do not have so many entertainments to have fun, I love it, after all. There are green mountains with many beautiful flowers, there are creeks which you could catch small fish in it, there are many good-tastes fruits you can pick directly from the trees. I like my hometown a lot~

hi strongheart. I am happy for you to be in Texas. i always wanted to be there. I think its a really nice place to live in. I am from INDIA. I reside in a city by name Chennai in south India. The city is famous for Beaches. Here we have the Asia's second Largest beach (marina) and some real good beaches like elliot and kovalam. The food is also marvelous with Indian type. Education is great with IIT's and reginal Universities. The city has countless number of high schools and you can find friendly people all ways through.

I am in the one of the biggest towns in Bulgaria - Bourgas.Bourgas is in the east side of the country.Its situated on the Black sea coast.There are about 250000 people.There are Shopping mall,Mc Donalds,Mc Drive,KFC.....and many other things.....

i live about 20 miles west of tucson out in the middle of the desert. we have a couple "general" stores, a feed store, the best pizza place in the state and a steakhouse that raises and kills their cattle for dinner:) there's an elementary school and, i think, a high shool. i know most of the neighbors and, for the most part, their decent, quiet people who got tired of living in the city. its boring sometimes but its quiet, i still see coyote's everyday and a couple months ago i saw a fox.
