Hubpages and Squidoo

It's not necessary articles you write for them it's just information you post on your product or site to promote it. A share of the adsense revenue made by your squidoo lens is given to you. ( as your page is called)

You could implement these services in your linkwheel to gain more visitors.

The two sites have two different objectives. Squidoo, you can do more promotional stuff compared to hubpages. Even the way you create lenses and hubs are different. Squidoo has more modules than hubpages has of capsules.

In both cases you don't necessarily have to write articles, though that's what many end up doing.

You can look at it more like you're setting up another blog or single webpage. They both work the same in that you put in a text block (or more than one) that can be an article or how to guide etc etc on your chosen topic and then you can monetise the squidoo lens or hubpage with the options they offer you. (adsense, amazon etc).

You can also put in the rss feed of your related blog as well as adding one or two links to your blog or affiliate program that is related to the topic of your lens or hubpage etc.

People use them for a variety of different reasons - some set up lenses or hubpages instead of creating blogs, some use them to earn from, others (like me) use them to earn from and more importantly as a way to get traffic to my main sites and blogs. Basically they give you an inward link to your site/blog, they get indexed quickly in the search engines (and because they have rss feeds you can ping them)
