I see that people understand the same word differently.A couple of drunk guys waving the national flag and shouting in the street. Are they patriots?A group of people who beat someone in the bar to teach the foreigner "some respect".Is this a form of patriotism?I think that patriotism is love for your country which you show everyday, your wish to see your country great and happy.Patriotism has nothing to do with hate and aggression. What's your opinion about the true patriotism?

Being a patriot means to me a person that is willing to dedicate his/her life to the ideal of our country. Many people do this, they don't have to be heroic or to give up their lives for this, just the quite people that spend their lives bettering our country, seeing that as many people as possible get to enjoy the unusual freedoms available in the USA
