What's your take on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's implants?  |

|  So it's all over the news. After arriving from her foreign commiments, President GMA "self-quarantined" herself at the Asian Hospital. However, news leaked out that the supposed "self-quarantine" was actually because the silicone breasts implanted in her 20 years back were leaking and she needed to have them removed and replaced. Of course, her spokespeople vehemently denied the issue, with one even suggesting people take a good look at the president since one can easily tell if a woman's breasts were fake or not. Cerge Remonde even challenged people by saying if PGMA seems like a woman who would ever resort to such a thing.
As a development to the news, the president's men finally admitted yesterday that PGMA did indeed undergo breast augmentation in the past. However, PGMA's deputy spokeswoman swears the breast implant procedure was done out of "medical necessity" and was not spurred by vanity. Okay. Medical necessity. Can they be more clear on this? What medical condition would require a breast implant procedure? I think since it's already out in the open and has become a public spectacle, they should at least make a clean breast of things. Of course, no pun intended.

| |  Well one thing about this is that it is a personal choice of the president to have it done on her. She was I think at that time still a civilian and she can do that as private citizen. What I think right now is that the doctors at the hospital that she went in cannot just keep information like this as private matter and was leaked out to the public. I think anyone who had leaked this info has violated doctor-patient confidentiality. Yes the president is a public figure, but there are still things that should be kept silent about this things as this is not something that may affect the country's stability or anything. It is purely a private matter for her as a citizen of this country. It is not like what the Marcoses have hidden from public knowledge that he has a debilitating disease that may just instill problem in the leadership.
I honestly believe that the persons at the Malacanan did not know this when the news got leaked out.

| |  This is the frist I have heard of this. it is posible that she when to hospital for brest inplants becase of some kind of condishion but I am not sure what it would be either. Mybe something haveing to do with brest cancer? not realy sure on that one.
