Do you eat the fat of the cake?

What i normally do is share it out for the sugar& fat content on the icing ( ofcos its not ice-cream)can be harmful to your health& rather have your kids eat it in small quantities otherwise you might be jeoperdising with their health in days to come.thanx

I normally find icing too sickly sweet and prefer to eat cakes that aren't iced, I like the marzipan you get on Christmas cake and battenburg cake though as that has an interesting flavour and isn't too sweet. In fact when I was child I used to buy blocks of marzipan just to eat on it's own.

Hi Karanbm, I'm not a big fan of christmas cake because I don't really enjoy the cake bit but I used to love the icing and marzipan. I have never made one and don't eat icing anymore, my mum used to make the fancy iced cakes. What I do do though is indulge in marzipan when it is in the shops round about christmas time, we are able to buy bars of it covered in chocolate so a block of that is better to me anyday than an iced cake with the best bit hidden in the middle.

The most important things in the cake is icing on the top. Without it a cake seems not complete. So we do some topping to make it more decorative and delicious. I like to eat that. I know there are many fat in it but I don't compromise with that and also chocolates. I like chocolates and ice creams so how I can leave that.

The way I eat a piece a piece of cake is I usually leave the icing the best part to me till last. Hmmm good!

I eat the cake with the icing if the cake itself is not too sweet. Most times the icing is too sweet though so I just push it aside.
