ANOTHER Road Trrriiiiipppppppp!  

I love to take long road trips if I am the one driving And, since I wouldn't want you to go to Kansas without the proper stuff, here's some ruby slippers for you

I ain't been further then five hours away! WOAH! Have fun on your trip though, and you could always slip your niece sleepy time tea instead of regular tea.. that way SHE nods off before YOU and you can put honey in her hair or whipped cream and tickle her nose!

Yea for you! I'm lousy at long trips. 5 or 6 hours is about all I can stand any more.

Since we know where you'll be we won't worry 'bout you. You just focus on having a good time, getting out of your normal routine and enjoying the visit! I feel sorry for them if they put honey in your hair. I know you'll find a way to make 'em wish they hadn't.

I gots to head off to bed now as it's late here and my eyes are popping out of my head, but I just wanted to say that I'm so happy that you'll be taking this trip! It'll be an absolute blast I'm sure! I wish you all the luck in the world and I'll be waiting here patiently to hear all the details when you get back. I've travelled over 80 hours in one hit by bus and car before, so 10 - 12 hours ain't so bad! Have fun and set yourself free.

When me and my mom drove from Kentucky to New Mexico a few years ago it took us three days to get there with driving 15 hours a day almost. Also on the way back my dad who had hip surgery couldn't handle the long drive back so it took four days on the way back and we only got in about 8-10 hours a day. Including breaks. I took a greyhound bus to New Mexico once with my sister and Niece and it took little over 2 days to get there and I told myself never again will I ride a greyhound bus of course I had to ride it back home again..but I haven't since. Well, I do hope you and your son enjoy yourselves tremendously and get to pop on occasionally when your not to busy or tired to let us know how things are going..Nosy..I know.. I am sure that person will gladly let you borrow his ruby slippers..lol

Irish..you have become quite the wanderer..lol..I think it's great! I love traveling but my job is making me wear steel toes instead of red slippers. They are a little heavier and harder to go in. When you get back you shuld let me borrow those red slippers

I am going to miss you and have lots of fun in your road trip btw. Take lots of pics and well drink yummy drinks as well, lol.
And come back home safe.

That is a long drive, so make plenty of stops. They recommend stopping every two hours, but if you start nodding off before then, stop, take a power nap and drink plenty of caffeine based drinks like red bull. It gives you wings, don'tcha know.

If you are already in Kansas, then you don't need to chant "There is no place like home....." as you are already there.

I will look for your return and if I have forgotten who you are, just remind me. I am sure it will all come back.
