removing "dead" music player from mylot profile

i'm sure many mylotters are experiencing this problem.

i'd like to add some banners but i don't want to risk violations, better safe than sorry.

it took me about a month to notice my music wasn't working and i agree it's a waste of time. it was just a new toy for me to play with cos i'm a big kid

If there boring they just get played with every now and then, But if there exciting they get played with all the time. Thats the way us girls play with our toys. Of course we do have a tendency to wear out some of our toys then we have to find a new one.

that just proves it, some women just get too carried away and it gets worn out

i had a good selection on here but it was deactivated, it took me a few weeks to discover why my profile was freezing my laptop. i then had about five attempts to remove it before it actually disappeared, i'll use windows media player in future

i looked at a few profiles over the last week and tried to make friend requests etc but they just froze. i decided that people must be unaware that their music player is causing the problem. i hope this lets them know because it's probably costing people a lot of requests etc.

that's true. i had one but i don't really see the need for them, other people's music taste isn't necessarily everyone's taste so it's probably best to not have one.

Most of us also isn't on their profiles long enough to listen to the music either. Or go to the profile to listen to the music themselves much. To many other different way to listen to music without having one on our profiles.

i agree, we have media players on our computers so there's no need for music on profiles, it can sometimes be off putting aswell because some people hate other people's taste in music.

i just checked and yours has been disabled aswell. mylot should be more specific about what's allowed on profiles and what isn't. i've thought of putting banners on mine but i don't want them to get me banned, i'll play safe instead.

i think the sites that provide the players don't allow them to be used on mylot. mylot deactivated the players but didn't remove them, the player still tries to start up and this causes the profile page to freeze.

i guess that's kind of a localism

yea,that can bog down the page depending.
i've known people who tell me "go check out my myspace" and you get there,and they have so much moving,playing stuff it just ain't happening.

i find that with facebook. if people have taken lots of quizzes and posted videos etc the home page takes forever to load...i hardly bother with it cos i don't see what the fuss is about.

i've nearly used localisms on here but stopped myself, the non engliah speakers would be too confuddled

you'd have real fun with the so called "pubs" here.
they pride themselves as being UK authentic (right),but if you go in and ask them for bangers they have no idea what you're talking about.

you're welcome. it was sometimes taking up to ten minutes to make a friend request so i had to point it out

my windows explorer works fine with flash objects but it seems to freeze when they aren't active. these music players have been deactivated and the system still tries to load them, i think that's what causes the freeze.

i just looked at another profile and it froze due to the music player being there. i hope people with these players see this discussion and remove them, it's preventing me from checking their discussions etc.

i suppose it depends which browser we use, mine definately freezes on those profiles and i have to restart, most annoying.
