Do you boil water before drinking?  

I am so very thankful that I live in the US and dont have to worry about the drinking water! I grew up with a well, so we drank the water straight from the tap. Now, I have city water and it tastes terrible straight from the tap! So instead, I filter it and then drink it. But I dont have to sterilize it!

The only time we sterilize water is when we are camping. Thee are times when you get water from the stream, and you just have to be safe!

In our country we use some kind of filters to filter water.In rainy season,we boil water for drinking.It is always good to drink boil water than that of normal water.In our country especially in winter and rainy season we usually get some disinfected water which is harmful to our health,in order to take care of my health i usually try to drink boil water which is good.

As a former Commissioner of the Water department for our city, I believe our water to be very safe to drink. Our city adhears to the EPA and the tests are made every day at our water plant to make sure that there is no harmful bacteria or other harmful substance in the water. If you are located in the U.S.A. you can be sure that the EPA watches closely that all water tests are taken on time and that the city's water must pass these tests or a boil order is put into effect until the water is clean and clear again. I never drink bottled water if tap water is available.

i m agree,that we must boil water before drinking.also we can use boil water to make foods ,washing clothes and lots of things.we can avoid so many disses from boiling water so we must boil water before drinkig.

In my area, we can see the source of our water and it's clean. Therefore, we don't boil our drinking water, we just drink it straight from the faucet. I understand that in many areas, they are exercising precautionary measures because they are terrified of the effect of drinking tap water. We've been drinking tap water for nine long years and we're in good health!

We normally don't have to boil our water. I do use a water purifier. We have had water boil orders in Florida, especially after a hurricane. We once had a boil water order for almost a full month. But usually our water is good and we don't have to worry about any of that stuff.

The water from my tap is safe enough to drink and I have never really thought about it not being ok and having to take safety precautions everytime i want to have a drink of water. This must be a pain for anyone who has to take this into consideration. What i do not understand is people who buy bottled water to drink at home, when the water in our taps is perfectly fine to drink and free!

I am glad that I don't have to boil my water for drinking. There are certain part of the world that you have to boil water because of the quality of water isn't so great. If i am travelling I do take extra preaution on my drinking water. Often enough i don't drink tap as i don't know where it came from. I usually buy bottle water that way i know that i could drink it without doubting there is any problem.

Before i purchased a water dispenser with hot and cold water dispense i really boil water first before drinking it or using it for my kid's consumption.. we have to be very careful now since there are a lot of bacterias that could harm us! like amoebas or protozoans that could cause diarrheas...and cholera too. But it is usually a hassle boiling water all the time so i purchased a water dispenser and it uses distilled water ( i buy in gallons of it as well) so it is easier now and hassle free..and i find it safer.

My Aunt boils water all the time, when she drinks water, well right now she doesn't because She is blind and 96 and can't rreally do anything for her self, my sister has to do everything for her. but she use to boil her water.
