Especially when I think I HAVE TO sleep (e.g. when I got work the next day), the frustration rather keeps me awake, which is annoying... when such thing happens, I try to make myself relax by doing something else, like reading books or browsing a net, but that occasionally makes me more awake...
Again, it's annoying not being able to sleep whenever you want...

tomjoad (392) | 5 months ago | do you drink coffee? do you drink it a few hours before going to sleep? or are you active a few hours before sleeping? there are actually many factors to having difficulty in falling asleep. one of them could be the substances you take like medicines or coffee. another would be your lifestyle like for example, you workout a few hours before sleeping. stress and anxiety could be one of those problems too. i suggest that you do some reflection and think about the usual causes of your sleeping problem. once you know the root cause of the problem, then you minimize or totally eliminate it. if you still have problem sleeping aside from the things i mentioned above. you might want to consider having a bedtime ritual. one is taking a warm bath before going to sleep. another would be drinking a warm milk before going to bed. milk has l-tryptophan which actually aids in sleep. if you have been having those problems for quite some time already and it's already bothering you, you might want to consult your doctor.

ausgc21 (118) | 5 months ago | Hmmm... I thought of that too, and maybe I really should. Yes, I do drink coffee too (not just before I goto bed, but after dinner), which I guess I should stop doing as well. Or, get a decaf ones.

| | 2. sameroad (2653) | 5 months ago | i don't have problems sleeping anymore. i used to have really hard time getting to sleep but i started working out and that has helped me a lot. i am tired at night and can just go to sleep. sometimes if i don't work out for a couple of days though i will start having problems sleeping again so i have to work out every day or i get some problems but not as bad.
