It's a point and shoot camera, and as far as my photography is concerned, it is giving me results I wanted. I love how I can zoom in and still get crisp images, and I love that I can do macro even at night - with flash fired not worrying that the whole image will turn all white. Best of all I can carry it with me every time. Downside to it is that it eats a lot of batteries (I always need to have a spare set of batteries), and of course we do know point and shoot cameras have its limitations.
If I have the money for it, I will get the Canon EOS 40D.
