3. dhowarth (110) | 6 months ago | I would say the veggies as they have a higher amount of fiber on average than fruits. Fiber fills you up more so you stay fuller for longer and therefore will be less likely to eat again soon. Also, the sugar levels in fruits cause your blood sugar to rise then fall again rapidly (almost like an energy drink), which slows your metabolism and keeps your body from burning as many calories as it normally would.

4. zhuhuifen46 (2677) | 6 months ago | Personally I am also struggling between the two. To my understanding, generally speaking, fruits contain more nutrition, esp. vitamins, while vegetables give us more fiber, both necessary for good health and weight control. But fruits are to my taste, overeating brings about similar problems, if they are too sweet. Maybe vegetables are better for losing weight, and the more important is exercising. Do you agree?

5. macdingolinger (1209) | 6 months ago | Fruits and vegetables are both very important for a healthy diet. I do not know which i "better" for weight loss. However, in my thinking, most fruits contain larger amounts of natural sugars and might not be helpful in losing weight when they are eaten in larger quantities.
Vegetables must be the better choice for weight loss. But then you must also remember that many vegetabes are starches and turn into the natural sugars as well! So I must say specifically, dark green and red veggies should be the main focus. The yellow and whites usually contain more starches.

6. hornswaggled (1951) | 6 months ago | The facts about the difference between fruit and vegetables is this. Fruit is a carbohydrate. It is quick energy for the body and has some fiber. Vegetables are a more complex carbohydrate that is high in food value. It is the best choice for the most food benefits and dark green, leafy vegetables are wonderful for helping your body to stay in balance. Fruits can cause problems with blood sugar issues and can actually cause weight gain in someone who has these issues. Stick with vegetables and good sources of protein; avoid milk products and stay away from processed food and you'll do fine!

| 7. hemipwrd (37) | 6 months ago | Your best bet would be vegetables. Fruits are very high in sugar which if unused in the body will store as fat. Veggies are super high in fiber which helps in digestion, they usually have protein which is good for muscle function, and the contain a lot of complex carbohydrates. A recommendation though, try not to eat a lot of vegetables late in the day as they are a starchy food and you don't want all those nutrients to store in your body while you relax/sleep.
