I put harness on Asia, and she is loving it!  

We have tried one of those on our dog also but he really does not like it at all. He gags like he is choking himself when he is trying to pull away from us. He would rather run free but that is too dangerous.

I have two cats which are strictly indoor pussycats. My 13 year old male has been with me since he was six weeks old and I have trained him to walk on a lead. He is pretty good as long as he can walk in front of me! I use to take him out with me almost everywhere I went until my daughter came along. My friends and family used to call me ‘eccentric’ when they used to see the cat in my car which is a nice way of saying ‘nuts’!

Wonderful to hear Asia loves it! :) I never tried it on any of my cats since I've always let them out at will. I had two dogs who were always leashed when I took them out for a walk - they themselves would reach for their leashes to let me know they wanted to get out. :)

I don't have a cat just a dog. She doesn't mind the harness at all but i have trouble walking now so i can't get out & walk her like i use to. She is so strong i'm afraid she will make me fall. When i take her to the groomer & put the leash in the car w/us , she knows where she is going & crys all the way there, the big spoiled baby, lol.

well, I haven't put one on any cats recently, but when I did put one on a cat, they would walk backwards trying to "back" out of it, then they throw themselves on the floor and try to wiggle out of it - funny looking!

Nope, never harnessed a dog or cat, but when I was a munchkin (about 2 yrs. old) my twin brother and I were harnessed together when my foster mom took us out shopping with her..........don't remember really how I reacted, but I do remember my brother pulling at the 'reins' pretty hard and nearly choking me! LOL

Hey hornetlover! I used to take Star outside on my porch on
a leash because I was able to control him! He wouldn't try
to run! But, if you have Asia outside have you given her a
Flea Treatment? If you are letting her run in the grass you
need to give her some kind of Flea Treatment so she doesn't
bring fleas in the house? That's really important! You can
get the flea treatment from the Vet or in the pet stores, but
please make sure you get something or you will have a house
full of fleas and that will be a nighmare! I had one of the
mantenance people where I live do some work in my apartment
and his workshop was infested and then so was my apartment
and then so were my two cats who NEVER even went outside and
it was a horror to get rid of the fleas! Even I was getting
bitten! Make sure you do that before you bring Asia outside
again!

When I had dogs they used to love going out. But we tried putting one on our cat that wants out and he just sits down. Period.

my russian blue was leash trained.he loved it,if you jangled the leash,he came running.i have tried to teach my newest cats,but they don't seem interested.the 2 youngest are terrified of cars even though they'd only be in the yard,not on the street.
