Favorite Disney Movie??? |
I remember watching all the classic disney movies as a kid. I've got about 50 disney movies on VHS from when I was a kid sitting in my basement.
How many of you remember watching disney movies, and which was your all time favorite?

1. Thumper11 (294) | 5 months ago | My favorite disney movie ever is Bambi. I always loved animals and I used to love Thumper. Later on in high school Thumper became my nickname, now I own a bunch of thumper clothing, and a lot of thumper merchandise. I love the other movies with animals in them that were disney movies and I love the messages behind them. I still watch them to this day just to relive a couple hours of my childhood. I also think that the characters are adorable. I have a tattoo of Thumper on my back now.

housemd (185) | 5 months ago | Bambi is also a very good disney movie. I always thought it was kind of sad though. I used to cry every time when Bambi's mom died. And Thumper is definitely the best Bambi character, I love him too! Thanks for responding!

2. baldypriest (283) | 5 months ago | Definitely the first animated Peter Pan movie, followed in a close second by Beauty and the Beast. I seriously loved Captain Hook, Smee, and the crocodile... and still do.

housemd (185) | 5 months ago | Peter Pan is definitely a good one. I didn't watch this when I was really little, but I managed to get a hold of it a little while ago. So much better than that recent remake of Peter Pan. And I am sad to admit that I have never seen the original Beauty and the Beast, I did go see it as a play. One day maybe I'll be able to watch the original. Thanks for responding.

housemd (185) | 5 months ago | Thats not good that your mom she got rid of you videos. I like to save things from when I was little so I have some memories from the things that I used to love to do. Hopefully you saved some other things from your childhood, that you can save for the rest of your life. I don't think I have ever seen the movie The Swan Princess, but if it's disney I'm sure it is good. Thanks for responding to this discussion:)

6. clutterbug (821) | 5 months ago | Have you seen the Disney movie called, "Thomasina?" I saw it a long time ago, so I hope I spelled it correctly. It is the best Disney movie I've ever seen.

| |
housemd (185) | 5 months ago | Yes I think I have, I believe it's called "The Three Lives of Thomasina", if it's the one about the cat. This was actually one of the first disney movies that I watched. My parents had just bought a VCR, so we went to the movie store to rent a movie, and this is the one that we got. I forgot about this one, because I think I have actually only seen it once, but I remember it to be a very good movie. Thanks for responding!

8. wiccania (2780) | 5 months ago | I'm a huge fan of Disney's animated films. My absolute, hands down favorite is The Aristocats. But I have to say that there's a lot to be said for some of the ones that have come out since I became a "grown up." The Lion King was released the day after I graduated from high school. It was an awesome movie. I actually enjoyed both sequels, too. Some of the sequels are really ridiculous, but I thought Mulan and Mulan II were both very good movies. The only one I really can't stand is Snow White and that's mostly because of the way she sings. It grates on my nerves.

housemd (185) | 5 months ago | I used to love The Aristocats when I was younger. I'm pretty sure I knew all the words to all the songs:) The Lion King as also an amazing movie. I have seen the first Mulan movie, but not the second. The first was very good though. I agree with you, Snow White definitely isn't high up on my list either. Thanks for responding to this discussion!

9. Palmerhusky (735) | 5 months ago | I really loved Oliver and Co. It was such a well done movie and the first Disney movie that used CGI in part of it. And having Billy Joel in it and how well he did with the acting and the songs...it was just an all around amazing movie to me.
| |
| |
housemd (185) | 5 months ago | I have not ever seen this one. But if it's got Billy Joel in it, it's gotta be a good one. I'll make sure to get a hold of it and watch it! Thanks for the response.

10. laurahen (306) | 5 months ago | It's so hard to pick a favorite. I love almost every disney movie that i watched as a kid. But they have to be the classics. I'm not too fond of the more recent ones. One of my absolute favorites is cinderella! It's just such a nice story where the good person comes out on top. I love the songs and especially how the stepsisters have huge bums when they are going to the ball. I was always confused as to why they had such a weird bum. Another one of my favorite is the little mermaid. Another great story of the girl finding her prince. There are actually more songs in the little mermaid that i can think of right now. My favorite is under the sea sung by the crab! haha

| |
housemd (185) | 5 months ago | I agree, I haven't seen a whole lot but I definitely don't like the more recent disney movies as much. Cinderella is a great movie, I love the mice! The Little Mermaid is a classic, I love all the songs in it. Thanks for responding.
