Is Disney Princess just as bad as Barbie dolls?  

well that movie was made a long time ago. and people were probably in better weight back in the day. and people today are mostly over weight. and at least the model agencies are changing there starting to accept plus size models. and i never seen a fat barbie. i don't know maybe these skinny girls will give girls something to look up to and give them inspiration to work out. i don't see anything wrong with television and skinny people. i think your looking at it too hard.

All the children's movie characters are unrealistic. It doesn't matter if it is cartoon characters on tv or Barbie dolls that little girls play with. It's amazing there aren't more anorexic or girls who think poorly of themselves. Look at what we all grew up with and continue to accept in our lives and our children's lives. If no one purchased the stuff or if everyone quit watching the shows, then toy makers and movie producers would take notice.

I like disney princessess. I prefer them than barbie. I just think barbie has more attention than disney princessess. I don't think there is anything wrong with little girls playing with them. The girls are just playing dress up. They are just identify with being girls. I grew up with Barbie and I am not looking or wanting to look like barbie. It is all on how you teach and raise your little girl. Happy lotting.

They do look alot alike. However, I don't think the kids notice their figures as much as the adults do. I know we'd all like to see more realistic & healthy looking waistlines on the dolls... BUT they are not going to change what sells unless people stop buying it.
