Give me a Good Book to Read!

Hmmmm if you would like a book that will give you a good thrill, then I suggest Birdman by Mo Hayder.=D

Adam Douglas - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Great sci-fi comedy!

well, i really don't know what kind of books you read, but here are some of my favorites:
1) My sister's keeper - Jodi Picoult
2) the hot zone - I forgot the name of the author
3) The wind-up bird chronicle and kafka on the shore - haruki murakami
4) Angela's ashes - frank mccourt

If you are a mother "Dear Neighbor, Drop Dead" by Saralee Rosenberg is a great read. It made me laugh, it made me cry. I even wrote a review on this book and was contacted shortly after by the author. If you are a mother you could well relate to this book. One member of my writing group is reading it and she is not a mother so she said she couldn't relate to it as well as the rest of us could but could understand from what she has heard from her friends who are mothers.

But, I don't know your tastes in reading so it is hard to tell you what is a good read. What is a good read for one person may not be for another. Someone here mentioned Jodi Picoult, a great author whose novels are well researched. If you are into mysteries authors like Lawrence Sanders and Catherine Coulter (to name two) are good and have tons to choose from.

Hi Chugs, without knowing your taste it is a bit difficult to recommend a good read to you so I am going to presume from your avatar that you would appreciate a good laugh so will recommend to you any book by Tom Sharpe who writes hilarious comedies. May I suggest that you start with 'Wilt' and if you enjoy that there are some further Wilt books by the same author but the first one is the best.

Robert Fulgham's.. "All i Really Need to know in Kindergarten" more or less thats the title, its long though but i like the book:) try it

Try a book called Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. I really enjoyed it. It's about a guy who starts visiting his old college professor when he was diagnosed with an incurable diesease. It is really enlightening and makes you think how you see the world.
