UK residents: What do you think about the new 3 dustbins idea?  

Exactly, can you imagine every street, every road, every avenue, every house having three of these eyesores stuck outside every gate, ghastly! I think it's overkill myself, and where's the money coming from to provide all these dustbins? Council tax no doubt. We recycle everything, all our food is put into our compost bins, granted not everyone has compost bins admittedly but this seems crazy. Recycling is a good thing I am not against it, I am for it, but there is a happy medium isn't there and I can't see many people being happy with three dustbins, and surely they'll be a hazard stuck outside? And what if they get blown over or fall into the road? Accidents waiting to happen. I don't know what is wrong with the country, apart from Labour but I won't get onto the Politics soap box, suffice to say I hear what you say and totally agree with you and we are NOT in the minority, I am a gentleman so I will say it's ridiculous but I do have other choice words I could use ;0)

Where i live in the UK we have 3 bins,our brown one is for garden rubbish,the blue one is for tins,plastic bottles,paper etc and the black one is for rubbish that can not be recycled.They said we had to have bins as out bins get emptied once every two weeks so as you can see they would be full up.The thing that i am worried about is the black bin and the smell from rotten food as it has been in the bin for two weeks.Hope we dont get rats as the bin harbors wasps etc for the summer months.Happy Mylotting.

We have had those for years in Australia or in my city at least. I love them I recycle a lot more then I used too before the bins and that it great. To you its just a box but can you imagine if everyone did that they will have to go thru million boxes and check what its inside its easier to have a binthat tells you what you can and cant put in and most people do the right thing.
