 Just received a news alert about the passing of iconic news anchor Walter Cronkite dying at the age of 92.
How many of you remember Walter and his traditional sign off "Walter Cronkite for CBS News. Have a good day."?
Whether it is true or not, I have always heard that on his final broadcast, he ended it with "Have a good f**king day".
A true icon of American journalism, I am sure many will be saddened by the news of his death.
R.I.P. Walter...we remember you fondly.

Sad to have just heard this news. . . he has always been regarded as “the most trusted man in America”
I loved his sign off words. . .“And that’s the way it is.”
He was the voice of reason during some of the US worst crises, tragedies but he was also the fatherly boaster of for some of our greatest victories and greatest moments . .
I am there with you in thought and remember his too on this night ..
May he RIP

that I loved Walter Cronkite! I remember watching him since
I was a little tyke! And I honestly thought he was already
dead for a long time now! Ma Bad! Ma Stupid! I don't know
why I thought he was already dead, but I did! I was sad to
hear that he died (from your discussion) and then I thought
to myself that he had died a long time ago! Oooops! Sorry!
I'm stupid! Well, he was old! WTF! Hard to keep track of all
those news people and celebs these days! I know that when
Peter Jennings died I was freaked because he was young and
so much alive and he was there one minute and gone the next!
So forgive me Walter for thinking you were gone before your
time! Shut up Opal!
