Which Kind Of Player are You?  |

 As we grow older we start to have strong preferences for how we like to play. I have read that there are 8 types of play personalities. Remember at different times and in different situations . . some of you may find that you are playing in a different mode that is different from your dominant type. . Can you identify which one most describes you?
The Explorer
Exploring for you may be physical in that you like going to new places . or it can be emotional and you are always searching for a new feeling. . . maybe from music, movement or even just flirty. It could also be mental and you are always in search of a new subject or discovering a new point of view while sitting there in your chair!
The Joker
A jokers play almost always revolves around some nonsense . . Were you the class clown . . and you always seem to find social acceptance by making others laugh . . you love a practical joke and you are really good at it . .
The Competitor
You play to win and love every minute of the game . .you love the rules and you love to keep score. You love fighting to be number 1 and this is your main drive. This can be solitary or in a social setting . for it could be a video game of a game of basketball with other players.
The Mover
In order to think you need to move . . this category includes athletes but others who are happiest dancing or swimming or walking .. whatever the movement is you naturally want to push your body and feel the results. Maybe it is yoga or any form of excercise. . competition is not the main focus it is only a forum where you find others engaging in your favorite activity. .
The Director
You enjoy planning and executing scenes and events. You are a born organizer, love to give a party or maybe you are the instigator of that excursion to the beach . . you love to be the dynamic center of the social world. At worst you manipulate . . but you love the stage!
The Creator
You love to make things. and the joy you find in this cant be measured or duplicated. Painting, ceramics, sculpting, scrapbooking, card making, knitting. . anything crafty from artsy stuff to wood making . some will sell their stuff. . some will give as presents....and some will just keep them to their selves.It could be that you just like to take things apart to see how they work . .
The Collector
The thrill of play here is to have and hold the most, the best and the most interesting collection of anything from stamps to coins to figurines . .Maybe it is antiques and the search for any of your collecting items is the best form of your play style.
The Storyteller
Imagination is your kingdom. Maybe you love to write and are forever in the process of writing your great novel! You can create an imaginative world through dance, acting, magic tricks or lectures. You perform your story and can bring play to almost any activity.

Nice topic.
I think anyone can be a pet of each one, I dont think I can be just one or it would not be creative any more. I like some parts of each player and like to be each but can not be just one, as each situation might require being 2 or more of the player.
