so heres an update on my new kitten

So its been 3 days and it looks like she'll be having a permanant home with us and our older cat. I've figured the age and possible breed she is and its a girl. So yea, lol I have 2 girls in the house. We think she's about 5 weeks and she mixed with tabby and persian breed. I wish I could post a picture of her but I go on mylot through my phone. Well my older cat is getting used to her all though I keep them at a safe distance. And my older cat her name is alexia she is no longer hissing at her. The new kitten her name is california stays confined to the sofa. She's a bit scared of alexia which is normal I suppose. Alexia is a year and three months. So alexia what she will do is come up and peak at california and then turn around and play and do whatever. And well today I felt confident in bringing california a bit close to alexia today and alexia will sniff her and that's it. No hissing and this is only day 3. California is still clinging to me though. Like some have said she thinks I'm momma. I think the more alexia gets used to her, then alexia will be her adoptive mom.

So after reading all this is it all going along the right steps. I know they're may be fights and stuff, but at this point she's too little and too young for me to even test that so I'll just wait till she's a little older and bigger to see what happens. Please post your thoughts on this thanks.

So everyone knows alexia was a cat I had for a year, we adopted her from the animal shelter when she was 2 months old. We found california on the steps outside our apartments 3 days ago. We believe her mom may have abandoned her or lost her and where we are living its extremely hot with temps close to 100 degrees so we couldn't bare to leave her out there. So there's the background for everyone.
