Daddy long legs poisionous or a myth

yeah i dont beleive they are poisonous at all. When i lived up north we always had those things in my basement. we couldnt get rid of em.

Hi! I also checked it out, and found it to be a myth. It is nice to know, because i really dislike spiders, but what i found out also stated that a brown recluse has the same type of fangs as the daddy long legs. My children will tell you that i think the only good spider is a dead spider, and they are about right. i don't kill all spiders, just the ones getting to close for comfort . Yep they are harmless, I learned that from my grandfather at a very young age on the farm. He said we didn't need to kill those just guide them to a safe place is all. We as kids took that literally and would do just that,

Thing is there are some real bad ones around in the US even in the big cities where people would think different. I can't recall names right off, I just know not to mess with the ones around here like with did with Daddy long legs when we were kids.

We have daddy long legs in our area too but I had never heard they were poisonous. I am glad to hear that it is only a myth though because I have picked them up before and got them out of my way.

we've always had those in our house,and all i can say is they've never bothered me.
they eat other bugs,so they're quite welcome to stay:)
