Do you give thanks for the best response? |
|
I was just thinking this when I went to check out my best response and saw that I got 4 best responses in the past week. So I of course go around and thank the discussers for the best response. I feel that by thelling them thanks will show them that I appericiate the best response. Plus on top of this it also makes me feel like that they feel that I am doing a good job. So do you go around and give thanks for the best responses that you receive?

Seppy1984 (738) | 6 months ago | Yes it can sometimes be hard to choose one when you have so many that are really great responses. I know that when I saw that I have recieved that many best responses in the last week, it made me feel really good inside. I have to say that there are times that I too don't recieve a thanks for giving a best response by the person that I give it too.
Have a nice day and Happy Mylotting

2. dlr297 (2795) | 6 months ago | If i receive a best response i always go back and thank the person for giving it to me. I believe that the person giving it deserves a thank you for taking the time to give one to some one. When someone does something nice for me i always make a point of acknowledging it.

Seppy1984 (738) | 6 months ago | Hello, It is always good to show acknowledge that you noticed the nice thing that the person had done. I feel that if they don't get the appericiattion that is deserved then they will feel like "Why do I bother". So you have a really great point here.

4. angreme (199) | 6 months ago | Yes we should always give a big thank you for getting the best response. Its for being polite as well as for being respectful. This way we show other members that we have respect for each other. Its not every day that any of us will get the BR. So when we do we should be proud of it. We should be greatful to those that give it to us. Its the least that we can do is to say Thank you.

Seppy1984 (738) | 6 months ago | Very Well put, that is how I feel. I know there are a few people who don't even give thanks for the best response but when someone gets a best response the person who gave it should know that we appericiate it.

I have received best responses that I felt I was worthy of receiving, and for those, if the person is NOT on my friends list, I will sometimes leave a thank you on the discussion.
If they ARE on my friends list, I prefer to send them a PM as a more personal way of thanking them.
Then, there are times I think I was simply chosen because I am a friend of the discussion starter, and that my response actually didn't merit being chosen for the best response.
When this happens, I am likely not to acknowledge it.
