So much for cats having night vision  

My Diego was in and out the back door all day yesterday. We didn't see him after the kids went to bed, but assumed he had tired himself out and gone upstairs for a snooze. At midnight, when we were ready to go to bed, he wasn't there, so we started looking for him.

It was soon obvious that he wasn't in the house. He's never stayed out after dark before, and we were worried. After walking around the streets looking for him for half an hour, I gave up and went into my back garden. On the off chance that he might be somewhere close by, I began calling his name again. And he mewed back at me!

Every time I called him I heard his collar bell, each time a little closer, until his little furry face finally appeared through the fence... silly animal had got lost in the back alley and couldn't find where he lives! So much for cats having night vision...
