I don t like to talk to much to phone. I speak only if i need, and very short.

Hi icesmile, I enjoy a long chat on the phone with a friend, especially as I live in a foreign country. The phone chats are much nicer than email when it is someone calling from England. Unfortunately I can't return the pleasure as calling out from Greece is ludicruously expensive, we have the highest phone costs for calling in Europe.
On the other hand when Greek friends phone for a chat I find it very difficult to communicate with them on the phone, then I need to see them face to face to properly understand what they are saying, and hate to have to constantly remind them to slow down. I try to just keep these calls to a time and place to meet for coffee and get off the phone fast.

i dont like hanging over the phone too. i have been used to saying directly what i want to convey and then after i get the response i need i say thank you and goodbye. i guess it has been a kinda habit like that. ann

I donot endlessly chat on the telephone because I do not have the time to waste but I sure do not have time to get in my car and drive someplace to ask a question. That would really be wasting my time as well as over spendin money for gas. Plus what if I drive 25 miles to a friends house just to see if they want to meet the following week for coffee and they are not home...a big waste of time.

I don't like to use the cell too much as I'm on a pre-pay and it costs plenty that way but still cheaper as I do not pay a monthly bill. Plus I don't call anyone but home to say the least so honestly if I'm going to have a long conversation I will wait til I get home and talk on my land line.

No I don't like to talk on the phone that much, I just use my phone, for when I really need to use it, I have prepaid minutes on my phone, so that is why I don't like to talk that much, on my phone I was talking to the lady, one day on my cell phone and she talked all my minutes off of my phone, so I don't talk to her anymore on my phone, because she don't know when to shut up.

You are very right. Phones are for that much talk only.

I actually do not like to talk too long are called. but my brothers who are often in other cities to call me and talk too long. I do not want to disappoint my brother. I long to talk on the phone only with my brother.

I talk on the phone because most of my friends and family are out of town. The ones that have e-mail I talk to on line all the time, but the ones that don't, I usually talk to on the phone several times a week. When my husband was working in the USA, we talked on the phone three times a day.
