hi everyone. i have a question to all of u. do u like a niggard?
actually i dislike niggards. i am not saying that i like prodigals, no never. we should try to live with a perfect expenditure. but there are some persons who have lots of money but hasitate to expend it. yes they always fulfil their basic needs but with a limited cost. i hate them, do u?
one of my friends said that he knew a person who always became nude in darkness for his cloths longivity. hahaha...

Now this is a word I had to look up in the dictionary. It looked to me like you were using a racial slur, but the dictionary says this word means stingy. Why not use the word 'stingy person'... instead? I am guessing this is why this discussion had no responses. Most might have thought it was too close to the N-word. I would have used miserly, or stingy, rather than a word like that... but to each his/her own, I guess.

Stingy people don't bother me at all... why should they? I can't control them.. I can only control how I react to them. I don't react at all. If someone offers me a job and they are stingy in the amount they are willing to pay, then I am free to accept or refuse. They have their reasons for being stingy... maybe in their minds they are not stingy, but frugal.

hi friend. this word is familiar in my place but i did not know about this gretest community here in mylot. actually i never hesitate to say that i am too weak in english. you know, i am trying to develop my english by the help u and other members like u. yes, u r similar to me. they might have reasons but those are not enough to convince others that they are not stingy. lol.

Yes, I thought of that. In one part of the world words are used that we in the US might not use, or even be familiar with. Like I heard someone use the term molest as a word for (getting on their nerves)... he said someone was molesting him... not meaning like molestation.. as in improper toughing.. it was verbal harassment.. he was calling molesting. He is from the Caribbean. Totally different meaning to the word over here.

hi i know the word molest. it means annoy or tease or disturb but i never heard that it can be used for " getting in their nerves". perhaps it is an ethnic or indigenus use. thanks for sharing your knowledge. lol.
