Why me?

Hello, No I don't ask the "why me" question. I figure I was chosen to show "why NOT me".The year 1998 was my worst year both financially and physically.I was in a roll over accident and because I was wearing my seat belt I was not thrown out of the car when the car was totalled.Six months later I was rushed in to surgery from my leaking appendix.Maybe the leaking appendix was cause by the roll over accident, I will never know but I lived through both when I could have easily died from either. I don't ponder on "why me".

I agree! This is a very good discussion. We are all faced with difficult situations every day, so instead of asking God "Why Me?" be great full for the day that you've been given and know that everyone is given challenges. Challenges give us strength and build character. Good Post!

I agree Jesus may not have asked why me but he did not want to go thru it. He went thru agony over it in the garden. I think life is not always good or worthwhile but that is where faith comes into play.

I think an equally easy answer would be "why not you?". I am happy to be alive even if my life is hard. Yesterday my kids has an argument and my son and wife would not listen to me. They were so intent on their point of view and getting their way that I was completely stressed out. I felt my chest constrict and I was not happy at all but it's my life and I will have it as it comes even if it kills me.

This is because Jesus Christ knew why he was sent by God. We are still trying to find out the purpose of our being on this earth. So the question why me?

We cannot blame ourselves when we ask that, we are only human, we have our own weaknesses. When we are facing problems, it is not always that it is only one problem that comes along, it usually consist of 2 to 3 problems, sometimes back to back. Why me is the questions when we don't find the solution to our problem, it is the word we blurted if we are so upset and tired of having multiple problems. But in the real life, we are the one that helps it to become difficult., because instead of facing the problem with our solution, we first complain about what is happening. We do drama over it. It only makes the problem worst. And evn our feelings, instead of focusing on solution, we focus on our weakness. I think I am now learning to the books I have read. I guess on times like that, we must act not ask. God helps those who help themselves.

i actually sometimes asked it too. but i believe that it's just a trial for me given by God, or it could be a lesson for me to learn or just His plans for me.. happy mylotting to you.

As you have said I have thought many times why me. But i think I thought it in a different situation. Frankly I have not thought like that because of that hard jobs or situations but I have that feeling when some thing lucky happens in my life.I just have the gratitude that - oh God why you chose me to to give that very luck to me.And think how can I utilize that opportunity that He gave to the best.
