Pirates of the Caribbean 4

So another announcement from comic-con. It is pretty much certain that shooting for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 will start early next year and will be a start of a brand new Pirates trilogy centring on the character of Jack Sparrow. So it looks like we could have a new Pirates movie for Christmas 2010 or sometime in 2011.
I wonder where they will take this new film and subsequent ones in the series.

Really?..... That seems like they are really trying to drag the series on way to much. I mean, jack sparrow is a great character but i was starting to get tired of it by the 3rd movie. I wonder if they are going to have orlando bloom and kira knightley in the movie as well. I really liked them in the movie and i use to be obsessed with orlando bloom.
i think if they do continue the film they will have stories of captain jack sparrow before he met the orlando bloom character. they might even start at his childhood. who knows?

Well I'm not really sure what I think about that. I did love the other Pirates movies, but honestly, they were starting to get a little old and far fetched. Like the first was great, but then... well, the second and third just weren't quite as good. I'm sure the 4th won't be either. But if Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom are cast in it again, I will certainly go to the theaters to see it!!

I am pretty much the same. I really enjoyed the first but the second and third didn't live up to my expectations. By the sound of it they are planning on going in a completely different direction with the new films so hopefully they will fee fresh and new.
