|  as now Dot matrix printers are out of date everyone wants a new so there are two choices for all one is inkjet and another is laser. Both of them are very different.
One is costly but another is fast so which printer you prefer.

| |  Save the money and go for an inkjet. Easier to maintain, and a lot less expensive, and if you aren't doing a ton of heavy dudty printing, I don't feel there is a need for a laserjet.

| |  Inkjet is low cost..
I prefer black and white printout on inkjet rather colour printer with the inkjet printer..
reason being is the high cost ink for colour I think.

| |  it really depends on how much you use it. i'm a student so i often need to print essays or articles so i prefer laser as it is extremely fast in good quality. however, like everyone above have stated, inkjet is much cheaper (although the refill is expensive) so if you're like me, who hardly uses printers then i would go for the inkjet. also, i have a huge problem with sweaty palms so i tend to smudge ink printed papers and it is really annoying - i prefer laser but it depends on your preference and how you're going to use it.

| | Laser printer toners are expensive over here, approximately US$60 - I'm not too sure how much others have to pay, though. Since the print quality is excellent, I'd only use it to print important documents (e.g.: formal letters, forms) where clarity and professional look is required. For other kinds of printing, I'd just use the inkjet printer. The print quality isn't too bad but it's much cheaper to use it to print drafts of reports or other not-so-important documents.
