Are men generally polygamous?  |

 I just broke up with my first boyfriend last year. We've been together for 3 years. During our relationship he was very loyal, I used to think that the last thing he'll ever do is find another woman, and so it was. From then on I believed that no matter how long you've been in a relationship with a guy it's not safe to assume that you know him perfectly. Men would always find "a new cow to replace the old cow". Eventually they would want somebody new. What do you think is this true? is it just in their nature? Or am i just talking based on experience?

I admit, when I saw another woman I look her and give an assessment inside my thought like "she's pretty" or "she's just average", but that's all, I'm not going further than that. I have wife, she was my one and only girlfriend I had, sure I've meet many interesting woman in my life, but I only choose one. I think we find our mate is to reach the balance for our life, not for fun or lust. I have my balance and that's all I need.

But I don't know, it's just that nowadays people are much more experimental so I think men are really prone to being unfaithful and to having relationship with more than one woman. | |

Actually I really hate couples who broken up with light reason but they blow it up as a big problems, like "we don't have the same vision" or "we're not destined to be together"... oh, come on people, if you don't ready to do marriage just don't do that, wait for your true "turn". From my opinion, every problems have solutions, just be patience to find it and not quickly jump to "broke up" or "divorce" conclusion. | |

| 4. kenraku (161) | 6 months ago |  Hi, I think there is no absolute answer for your question. There are many reasons why a man looks for another woman. Maybe he is not loving deep enough. Maybe he cannot control himself. Maybe he already feel boring with her. Maybe he just want to find another. There are still many I don't covered in here.
But I don't agree that all of men are willing to find a new one. Except the last reason, I think everything I have mentioned above can be bridle. I mean, it is the problem of self-contorl, it can be trained up by their own experience or maturity.
I don't know which is suitable for your case. But men are not always want to find another substitute. And else, when two people have been together, the longer it has, the harder to replace.
I have been with my girl friend for 8 years. I have no reason to find another woman.

Yeah it really depends on the person. But for me guys nowadays really have a tendency of having relationship with more than one woman, maybe because they find a lot of choices, or they just really want somebody 'new' constantly, I don't know. It doesn't really depend on how long your relationship is. I remember a local celebrity who had a long term relationship with a guy for 10 years, and then they broke up, it was said that the guy found another woman. Just sharing my thoughts. | |

But there are some man out there like who is a one woman man. And I think should last forever only if both partners are open minded and have trust and faith with each other. No man will look for another woman if he feels and sees the loved, trust and understanding from her present woman.

But ofcourse there are species where the men die immediately after mating.
Some kind of male bees are only born to reproduce and when the mate they die of it. lol
I think humans are wiser and better than other species and hence should be able to decide logically what is right and wrong for themselves.
Some men mite think that they are born polygamous and cant help but to change partners.
I know I am not polygamous.
So cant really make a general statement which applies to all the men in this world.
Thats just my perspective!
