And then there was chocolate, like magic! |
I was just thinking to myself, I wish I had some chocolate and then I remembered I did! I needed cash a few days ago so I went into the store and picked up a bag of peanut M&M's and used my card to get cash back. I kept forgetting they were in my purse until just now!
Yippee! A few of those and my sugar/chocolate craving was settled and there are still more left in the bag should it return later. Don't you just love it when things work out?

Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | I like Hershey's Symphony with the toffee bits and nuts. I get the big one and keep it in the fridge. It usually lasts a few days and sometimes I actually forget its in there and get a nice surpise later, lol!

3. katsalot1 (882) | 6 months ago | What a wonderful thing to happen - I know the feeling. When you get a chocolate craving it can be so strong, and to find that you have some is like the answer to a prayer. You would think that there are so many things that are much more important, but at the time chocolate is all that matters!
| |
| |
Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | LOL, it was a good thing I remembered I had it because if I had been suffering and then found it later I would really have not been happy!

4. mommaj (1084) | 6 months ago | You have awoken me out of my cave. CHOCOLATE? Did I beat Scheng here?
Things happen for a reason and in the end things always seem to work out. At least, that's what I have been told.
| |
| |
Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | I have heard that too! I am hoping it will be true tomorrow when I finally get that friggin' car part!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 6 months ago | Oh,my, gooossshhh! You're still waiting on the car part? Isn't this like four weeks or more? Goodness, I would have bought the whole store out of chocolate. Good luck.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | No, Hon, that was a different part. Blew a hose over the weekend and they couldn't get the order in before the deadline to get it on the truck so I had to wait until today. Today the truck comes and they do their inventory and lo and behold it's the WRONG FRIGGING PART!
This is making me crazy.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 6 months ago | Oh my gosh. You poor thing. If you are living in the country you might want to buy a horse. LOL. If you're in the city, I hate to suggest it, maybe public transportation. I'm sure that will cost a small fortune. You certainly are having a lot of bad luck with that car.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | Nah, actually I have pretty good luck with it. It's just difficult getting things done because either you take it to a shop and they want to over charge you for work you don't need or the person is too intimidated by the thought of touching it.
If I had the proper tools some of this stuff I could do myself. It's such a drag.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 6 months ago | I totally understand that! I guess the only thing to do is stack up on chocolate bars and indulge.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 6 months ago | Ha Ha! And then like Scheng said I won't be able to fit through the door!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 6 months ago | Make a bigger opening? Enjoy the chocolate. LOL

Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | Now I want cheesecake! I think I have been thinking about it since I finished that helium article on the top ten sweets.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | That's too funny! My husband is a NY Italian, he loves cheesecake. Oh, they can make some cheesecake too. Great thanks for sharing that!
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | My favorite is turtle cheesecake. It has the chocolate cookie crust and is topped with pecans, caramel and more chocolate!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | I like them too but I pick the pecans off. My favorite is the plain cheesecake or chocolate cheesecake. You knew it would have chocolate in them.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I had a chocolate cheesecake once in Atlanta that was dee-lish!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | I think I would eat it more if it wasn't so unhealthy. LOL Knowing all the cream cheese that is in it, I just can't fully enjoy the cheesecake. LOL
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I don't think of such things...
But seriously, everything in moderation.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | Including work? 40 hours is too much. There should be a better time limit. LOL You're right, I wonder what Ms. Scheng is up to these days.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | She is probably busy trying to crank out those 5 helium articles a day to get to the 4th writing star. I read the revenge chicken bit aloud and J is anxiously awaiting the next installment, lol.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | ? Refresh my memory. I am glad to hear she is being productive. Good lord, she put a lot on AC. I am still trying to read all of them. I promised her I would as soon as I started commenting again. LOL
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I don't know how people find the time to do all that reading and commenting.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | Usually, I skim articles. Hers are so entertaining I have to read the whole thing. Sometimes she leaves me the funniest comments, I'm not sure she read the article. Must remember to quiz her. Wonder if she's around today.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I will catch her comments on occasion and they crack me up! Clever comments are probably another way to attract readers or at least visitors to your profile page.
Even skimming takes time. I guess I just have so many things eating away at my time already. The day just goes by so quickly.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | Trust me I completely understand the time thing. I feel like I don't have enough hours in the day to get everything done. LOL Wait, do I need to do anything. HMM. She is very clever and witty. Every time I see a comment of hers it makes me smile. I did an article on toddler leashes and her comment was next it would be benefits of a dog leash.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I think I may have seen that one!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | I'm trying to decide if I want to write an article like that and submit it for upfront on AC. I doubt if I would get anything out of it but a laugh a some page views. LOL I want to do it as soon as I get done with this other stuff.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | An article like what? Are you multi-tabbing again?
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | The benefits of dog leashes. Scheng suggested it in one of her comments. LOL If I made money off of it, it would be hilarious. LOL
| |

Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | I can see it now:
Parenting: How to not lose your child in a crowd.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | I covered that topic with the toddler leashes. It will be worse. Pet Owners- How not to lose your pet in a crowd. HAHAHA. Of course, if it was the last dog I had, I would have taken the leash off of her. LOL

Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnn!
| |
mommaj (1084) | 5 months ago | I meant to tell you about my dog. I loved her. She had separation anxiety. If we were at home she wouldn't destroy anything. Once we left, watch out. She ate through a wall. Actually, she ate through two walls. I finally put her outside on a dog run. She almost chewed through her skin trying to get the harness off. Needless to say, I left her unhooked. We lived on two acres where everyone had property. Someone finally took her in and pinned her up. She was 7 at the time. She didn't escape their cage. It was concrete slab.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 4 months ago | Wow, that is quite a story! Did she stay with whoever took her in?
| |
mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | As far as I know. They had a concrete dog pin where there was no chance of her escape. I could here her when we came home and she would bark because she would here our vehicle. That was sad, but I thought she liked where ever she was. I didn't hear her any other time.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 4 months ago | How did you know what had happened to her?
| |
mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | My husband saw where she was one day. They have kids so we are hoping they still take her out to play. Besides that, no other dog barks like her in the area. She was part hound and part lab but had a crazy bark. Sweet dog, just had issues. I really loved her. Once the kids came, I knew she had to go though.
| |
Canellita (3299) | 4 months ago | Aw, that's too bad. Hopefully she was happy with that other family and they treated her well.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | I believe she was or I wouldn't have let them keep her. She was with me from the time she was 9 mos old. For a lab, she was just dumb. LOL Great companion though, especially if you are active.

Canellita (3299) | 4 months ago | Dogs can be so sweet and so much fun but they are such a huge responsibility
| |
mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | Actually, I think it's easier taking care of a dog than a cat. I only like big dogs. My daughter keeps saying she wants a dog and I told her as soon as she is old enough to take care of a dog she can have one. I should be safe for at least three more years. LOL
| |
Canellita (3299) | 4 months ago | ROFLOL! Good luck with that one. I like other people's cats when they are well behaved. My friend has one who is schizophrenic who is mewing sweetly one minute and then scratching you the next.
| |
mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | We have two cats, but one only likes you if it is feeding time. The other one is tempermental with kids. She's never went after our kids but she went after my nephew and once after my sister-n-law changed my nephew she went after her. I think the cat is a little touched. Although, I'm not that fond of my sister-n-law either. HAHAHA

mommaj (1084) | 4 months ago | Darn it. I cannot find the conversation as to what smh means. I was just thinking about that earlier. I couldn't remember and I thought "what if she uses that". Sure enough, you had to go and type it. LOL
OH. Typing that, I realized Shaking My Head is what you meant because I was shaking my head as I typed the last part. I got it, I Got It! Yeah.

| 6. Rhiannon7 (28) | 6 months ago | That is like a small miracle! I've done similar things, getting small somethings and got cash back. Then you forget what you got. That's great you located them. I have been known to lose little things like that in the wilds of my purse. I do carry a smaller purse now, so that helps a little.

7. scheng1 (1702) | 6 months ago | Oh great, chocolate! No wonder Mommaj wants to raid your house! Let me see, a small package of M&M is hardly worth the effort for me to join in the raid. The airfare will cost much more than the price of the chocolate. I love to eat chocolate with coffee. Dark chocolate with creamy coffee, that's the nicest way of eating chocolate. Why dont you try it? It tastes really good, and if you eat like this for a year, I bet you have to make the door wider.

9. dolphin2406 (693) | 5 months ago | Hmmmmm M&Ms are one of my favorite. Sometimes I buy chocolate and other desert items then stash them in cupboards and drawers and forget about them so whenever I get the craving I rummage through my cupboards to find something until one day I don't find anything as I had forgotten to buy more and that I ate everything I had. I am being more careful of what I buy lately but then when I search I don;t find so I think I need to go shopping tomorrow to have something for the weekend since I'm staying in.
| |
| |
Canellita (3299) | 5 months ago | Try this: get a bag of the bite sized individually wrapped version of your favortie chocolate bar and keep a few in a small cannister and then put the rest in the freezer. Because you have to wait for it to thaw you will eat less and when you get a craving the chocolate is preserved in the freezer.
