Do you prefer cats or dogs?

I love both cats and dogs but prefer dogs. This is probably as I have never owned a cat but had two adorable small dogs growing up. I love the unconditional love dogs give their owners as well as the attention. My dogs loved to go everywhere I went and always stood up on their hind legs when they wanted me to pick them up and carry them.

I love BOTH. I have 2 dogs & 2 cats. I find cats to be a little easier to take care of, but dogs are more protective. So, I can't pick one over the other!!!

I'm a cat lover but I will make friends with dogs too. I like birds, squirrels or whatever I find in my yard, except bugs and snakes. Sometimes there is a raccoon or two out in the front yard at night. They are so cute.......my answer is cats!

I used to like both. Now I only like cats. I have been attacked by a dog and I have seen dogs attack cats and kill them (while their owner was standing nearby watching and laughing about it.)

I perfer dogs to cats. Dogs like to play with you but cats always choose to run away when you try to make friends with them. Dogs are more honest to the owner than cats. Cats knows nothing more than following who he gives them food.

I've never had a pet cat. I've always had dogs, and groups of them at the same time at that. This is the reason that I prefer dogs. My dogs are loyal to me and they make me happy and they always want some attention, cuddle up with me when I'm feeling down.
I haven't ever had the opportunity to have that kind of relationship with a cat, but I do know that they are fine animals too and we are actually considering adding one to our family in the near future. I know that they are more independent so I really don't know what my relationship with one will be.

for the longest time i was allergic to cats because of their dander, but after getting one i think i've finally gotten over that allergy and have grown to like cats. although I'm still a very big dog lover. prefer the bigger to med sized ones but dogs are always wanting to play and most don't have those sharp claws that tend to make you bleed even when you are gently playing.

I prefer dogs. coz dogs are man's bestfriend. and you can see how loyal they are to you and how they obey you so much.

I like them both, but at the moment I have four cats. I wish I could have a dog however, my cats are terrified of them, so no chance for that. Cats are quieter than most dogs, that's true.

I've only have had dogs and they are alot of work. As for cats they are cute and less work. I still prefer dogs though. I have taken a liken to the cat across the street. He is beautiful with gorious green eyes. He comes over to my yard and I have taken to him. Having a dog though I can't imagine having a cat too. Plus my mom would freak out if I ever got a cat, because she is terrified of them and would never come to visit.
