| Songs About Family  | | | |  I have loved certain songs about family members over the years. Dan Fogelberg's "Leader of the Band" about his father, was one of them. "Everything I Own" was written by David Gates of Bread after his father died.

| |  Well it's probably not in your style, but rapper Eminem often makes songs about his life and his family and personal struggles stuff like tat. the song "when i'm gone" is about when he was starting out as a rapper how hard it was having to constantly leave his family behind and his little daughter.
