What will you do when you lost your credit card?

Hi there, well i am using my credit card for about 4 years already. And i am glad that i dont lost my credit card its hard to deal when your credit was lost. You need to report it in your bank so that no one can access your credit card. Everytime i used my credit card I make sure that i get it after it was swipe, I am glad that sometimes i really forget things but I am glad that i dont ever forget my credit card.

First thing that you should do when credit card is lost is to call the Bank and stop the access for card. This will ensure that the credit card is not been used by anyone else.
Check your card statement online and find whether any transactions have been done after you have lost the card. If there any transactions, call bank and let them know that those transactions are not been done by you.
If any transactions are there, complaint to police and get reports from them for the proof of credit card being lost.
Finally, apply for a replacement card.. to start spending again;)

Losing one's credit card needs immediate attention. This has to be reported to the company so they can freeze the account and unless this is done, another user who has found your card will use the card and charge you with everything. SO basically, one needs to also check on their cards once in a while just to make sure that the cards are still with you.

I carry credit cards always, especially when travelling because I do not like to carry too much cash when travelling. Yes, I have to be very careful keeping the cards, in the safe places. But, if I lose it accidentally, I have to contact the issuing Bank as soon as I can and report the loss, and cancel it right away. It had happened to me once.

Cancel it of course. unless I feel that i lost it somewhere in the house. If I was out shopping and lost it, I'll just cancel it. Its easy to open another account.
