How are jobs in your area? Is it hard to get a job there? It is hard to get jobs here and I am thankful my husband has a job and has had this job for a while. I have heard its hard to get jobs in some areas and people are suffering from it. And it makes it hard to pay your bills let alone food to keep in your home. How do you feel about these things?

strawberrybaby39 (597) | 4 months ago | That makes it hard on people who just graduate from school. you would think someone that graduated would get a job easy but its not so true. Sometimes we have to start from low paying jobs and work our way up. My mom has worked at the same job for years and doesn't get payed a lot.

2. Oceanblueeyes (783) | 4 months ago | It's very hard to find a job in my area. I have been unemployed for 7 months and have had no luck in finding a job. Seven months ago, the place I was working for shut their doors with no notice or severance. It has been a difficult road and there are many people in the same situation as me in this area. I have depleted my savings and sold most of my belongings to keep a roof over my head. I keep hearing that things will get better, but somedays its really hard to believe.

strawberrybaby39 (597) | 4 months ago | Its hard to find a job here to. If you have a job keep it because its to hard to find one after you either lose your job or quit. I work at home and my husband has a good job but we still have it tuff at times. That is hard when you have to sell your own stuff to make it by. Sorry you are going through that.

strawberrybaby39 (597) | 4 months ago | Its not easy to get jobs here. You should feel lucky you can get a job in your country very easy. It seems like when you try to catch up on bills and food and supplies for the house you go broke again and in the whole and you got to dig your way back out if you can.

4. iwinagain (228) | 4 months ago | It's tough for me to find a job because I came out of school with little experience and I'm more of an introverted person. Most companies are looking for people that are experienced and knowledgeable of the field and that are outgoing. Right now I'm trying to make some money online because a lot of the jobs I see posted require you to have at least a certain number years of experience but I don't have that. So it's not that I'm lazy, it's just hard for me to find a job that fits me.

strawberrybaby39 (597) | 4 months ago | I know how that is. My daughter is working at McDonald's making very little money to support her and her daughter. Its tough out there trying to get a job. They don't make it easy for anyone anymore. Pretty soon they are going to make it like the old days to where you pinch pennies for high priced foods.

5. iheartblogging (394) | 4 months ago | There are very few jobs in my area in Kansas, United States. Actualy, there are jobs, but there are many many many more people that don't have jobs, and there are almost no job openings. Jobs that do occaisionally become available, such as those at fast food restaurants and mall stores, go to the most qualified person that applies-- usually someone with a college degree. Yes, people that have passed the bar exam and could be lawyers are working as stockers at WalMart, and people laid off from middle-management jobs with 4 years of college and 10 years of experience wind up working at McDonalds. This means there are no jobs for people that don't have college degrees or much experience, or anyone with any kind of mild drawback that would hardly be considered during other economic times.
For example, during the school year I worked at a school. Arounf February/ March, when I was about 4 months pregnant, I started looking for a job to start once my job ended with the schoolyear in May. No one would hire someone that far in advance. By the time it was April, and employers were considering hiring someone that could start working at the end of May, I was 5 months pregnant and no one wanted to hire someone they would have to give maternity leave to in 3 or 4 months. Now I'm 8 months pregnant, due in August, and I've practically given up because everyone says the same thing: "apply after you have the baby, we can't hire you and then give you maternity leave".
So I'm having a baby in a month, and I've been out of work since May... which is really scary.... I have a blog at http://www.teengravid.blogspot.com where I try to make some extra cash for me and the baby, but it's NOT the same as a job! I NEED a job!

strawberrybaby39 (597) | 4 months ago | Its hard to get a job anywhere anymore. Its a sad thing when a high class worker goes down to a low paying job. Sorry that you couldn't get a job. Congrats on the little to come. Most places anymore don't want to higher a pregnant women anymore. They want someone that will be there all the time for the little money that they dish out. That is why I work online to. But my husband has a good job and I work at home.
