I am an Indian. But you will be shocked to see my next statement!!!
I AM NOT PROUD OF MY COUNTRY, THOUGH I LOVE MY COUNTRY VERY MUCH AS ITS MY MOTHERLAND.
SURPRISED??
I just want to ask you all a simple question. Are you proud of your country just because it is your motherland??
How can you all be proud of India (atleast those who are Indians). There are so much problems prevailing in our country and each and every problem is a heart- breaker. Whenever I travel, I could see too much poverty, children compelled to live a life no better than street dogs, whenever at home, I could see news about corruption and bad politics, thefts murders etc. How can anybody who know India is proud of it.
I know there are things due to which I like my country like rich cultural heritage, humbleness of Indians, etc., but they are not much as compared to the problems in India.
I think if the problems prevailing in Indian society are even partly cured then in that case the whole world along with me will be pround of my country INDIA.

 esteria (261) | 4 months ago |  Well i think you need a wakeup call yourself. If you are not proud of your country you can never pride on anything. We believe in the powers of our nation and our proud of it. There is always the history behind every nation that makes it unique. The problem of poverty is not a nations problem but of the men living in that nation you say you saw poverty ridden people so what exactly have you done for them other than being a bystander.
So you believe India is corrupt and political. Here is a little eyeopener my friend. the superpower that is America is the most corrupt nation in the whole world. There is no nation without problem but how many nations have you seen that helps every other nation in the world without prejudice. India even tried to send help to Pakistan in its need and we both know how the relations are between the two nations.
So be proud of what your nation is than not be proud for what should have been there and isn't.

But I would like to ask you a question, What have you done being proud on your nation?(Please its my humble request don't take it otherwise).
You are telling that every one should be proud, I think instead of this you should say that everyone should love their nation, but being proud truly means that you are satisfied with the things going on in the country. Are you satisfied with it?
And for America, I would like to say that you can easily see the consequences of America being the most corrupt. Look at their economic growth. I think that has actually caused the recession as we are so much dependent on them.
Once again, I urge you that plz don't take anything otherwise. these are just my personal thoughts and not meant to hurt anyone.

Its my idea about to being proud of an Indian. Every Indian should be proud to be an Indian as we are very safe when compared to other countries where the safety has a big question. by now. Many people of all races and cultures living together. We
celebrated 'Hari Raya Puasa' for the Muslims, Chinese New Year for
the Chinese, Diwali for the Indians and Christmas by the Christians.
This year we have a campaign not to differentiate the races and call
ourselves as Malaysian - 1 Malaysia...
Hopefully it will be a success for the future of our new generations.
