Constant content |
|
I signed up for constant content awhile ago but I have never written anything for the site. Basically people send requests and you bid for the job. My question is has anyone used it? Does it actually work?

1. jend80 (1564) | 5 months ago | I've used the site as a buyer - basically I asked for articles on a subject, several writers submited pieces on that topic to the site (for anyone to be able to buy and use, not just me) and I could choose to buy them or not. I got some great writing but also one that wasn't poorly written, just factually inacurate.

Constant Content is not a bidding site like Elance, Getafreelancer, ODesk etc. It's a site where writers can display excerpts of their articles and set their own prices. Publishers can request articles, but it is not a bidding system. Publishers display their request, along with the description and the amount they are willing to pay. Interested writers contact them.

unusualsuspect (2413) | 5 months ago | Yes, Constant Content is a legitimate site. It's also very picky about who can write there. If your writing isn't professional quality, you might just as well not bother.
This seems to be one of those days for complete misunderstanding of writing sites. Someone posted a question about earning up to $10.00 upfront pay at eHow. Where do people get this kind of misinformation, and why don't they read the FAQ and help files available on every site? If they can't be bothered to find the facts for themselves, I suspect they're not going to do very well as paid writers.

3. TrvlArrngr (1186) | 5 months ago | I submitted an article and it was rejected. So since I wrote it I sent it to associated content and they bought it for 3.50 plus residuals. I guess I am not good enought for constant content yet.

4. byfaithonly (6302) | 5 months ago | I'm in the same boat as you, signed up at Constant Content but haven't yet done any work for them. I am keeping busy writing on Associated Content and for my own site and working on a book to possibly publish some day. I have friends here on myLot who do work for them and are very happy with their earnings.

You don't bid on the jobs, but you can write for anything that's being asked for, as well as submitting other work. When someone buys your work, they let you know right away and then you get paid... I think you have to make a minimum of $25 (50?) to get paid.
