R-I-P my little lottie

the kittens are being taken care of by a donor cat who has milk for them, 2 are not well but i am sure they will be ok, i think i will just keep max and not get any more cats because this is just too painful for me to deal with right now...i miss her so much....

I'm glad that the kittens are getting taken care of and I'm so sorry that you miss her. At least Max is keeping you company and he will help you get through this.

Pets are like family to a lot of people, especially for people that don't have kids.

Uh, excuse me kdmlrys? 'Just a cat'? I can tell you don't have any pets and if you do, I really feel sorry for them cause there is no way you could treat them right with that attitude. Lottie was her child even if she had fur and walked on four legs. Your lucky it's mylot and your not standing right next to me or you would of got clobbered for that remark.

That's very offensive kdmlrys to call my friend's here Lottie, just a cat. Many of us view our pets as beloved family members...It's obvious you're not an animal lover otherwise you would have more compassion...you obviously don't and this was an un-called for remark

In time it'll hurt less. If the kittens make it they'll be a new source of joy. I remember when my cat Jasper died. He was my cat since before I can remember. I was devastated for a long time and thinking about him still makes me sad. After all these years I've finally learned to appreciate the time I had with him and realize it was a blessing that I was able to have him for the time that I did. I'm really sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is so hard.

thankyou muscle, i think i am just in shock right now it was only a few hours ago when i handed her to the call out vet, she was so weak, she wasn't well at all, i could tell by his face that she wasn't good and i had a feeling i would hear some bad news, but another part of me was saying that she would be ok...she was too weak, she had no strength left for them babies, they are in the cat home rigt now and they are being taken care of by a donor cat who has milk for them, they are also being treated for any infections they may have got from Lottie. i am just so sad right now, i feel lost.

thankyou i wasn't expecting to get a phone call like that, i thought she would be fine after some treatment., but these things happen, but i just feel so sad that she suffered, she was taken away around 8pm and died within hours, so she must have been too far gone...i am really going to miss my baby girl, she was such a lovely little soul....

I know. My puffy went in for an operation and they found she was full of cancer. The vet came out of the operating room just shaking her head. I had kissed puff in the top of her head before she went in. She was so weak. I told her I loved her and that was that. I really thought she would be okay.

Now I am blessed with a new little girl. She follows me everywhere and sleeps in a chair near my bed. I am glad that she has come to live with us. She is so sweet. She is always at the door waiting for me when I come home. I am glad that we had the opportunity to rescue her from the shelter. It still makes me cry, though, to think of Puff. I believe that someday I will see her in heaven. I hate that there is death. I don't think I will ever get used to it.

i am so sorry that this has happened faery, i never thought that she would die, i knew she was ill but not ill enough where it would take her life, it's just devestating, it's horrible and i cannot stop myself from crying, every time i think of her i just burst into tears, she suffered so much, i had to watch her go through that, i just don't know what to do, max has been very clingy too, maybe he knows what's going on, the littens are in a cat home being taken care of by a milk donor, 2 of them are sick, but i am hoping that i get them back because i want something to remond me of their mommy,

Awww well...he senses your upset and he's comforting you,plus you are their second mommy as you were there with Lottie through out their birth and took care of them and helped Lottie and I think the kitties will be just fine,had they been just born it would be more to be worried about but they are getting stronger everydayxxxx.

yeah max knows something is up, he is never this affectionate, but now i have had tme to think about it, i do feel better that she's not suffering any more, yes it is painful, but she is out of pain, so that gives me a little bt of comfort, the kittens will be fine with their donor mother, she is nursing them and she is feeding them, i am being consulted on their progress, so it's not like they are going hungry, they were hungry before because lottie couldn't feed them and i couldn't take care of 6 kittens on my own, i tried my best, but the emergency vet advised me to have them checked out....i will get them back when they are better, but for now they are better off where they are....i know i will cry alot faery but i have had her for a whole year and bonded with her, i was even there when she had her kittens, talking of which, it's too panful to watch them vids so i removed them from CC till i feel better, it's too soon to watch them right now....

I don't blame you for removing the videos it is too much to handle at the moment.I am glad that the babies are being taken care of but sounds like they are in good hands I hope they come home soon.The loss of a pet and friend is hard to deal with I know I cried harder for my babies then anyone.I know it will be difficult thankfully Lottie is at peace and no longer suffering and she knows her babies are in good hands.This really sucks but try an think of the happy times with Lottie and keep that close to your heart.xxxx

hi faery, the kitties are great today, the 2 with eye infections have been treated and will get better, they are all feeding well, they are being taken care of and they said that if i would like to make a donation then they would find proper registered pet owners to come and take them when they are old enough, so i am thinking about leaving them there, i simply cannot take care of them myself, there's way too many to feed all on my own, but the charity only give their cats and kittens to registered owners only, you just cannot walk in and ask for one, you have to be on their books and prove that you have pets....so that's comforting, i am picking lottie up tomorrow and i am bringing her home so i can bury her in the garden with the other cats i had, i have a special place for them all...i do feel better today, i have cried all my tears, she is at peace and i know that wherever she is, she will be happy....

I know, tatty. Don't feel ashamed of crying over her, not for one second! It's natural. We cry for those we miss. This wound is very fresh and it will get better with time but you'll never completely get over this loss.

The last cat I lost was one I had for 16 years. I had taken him to the vet because he was having trouble breathing and learned that it was his heart. He had a massive heart attack right there at the vet's and I asked them to put him to sleep immediately. I didn't want him suffering one second longer. I cried for days!

You did the right thing, calling the vet when you did. You did all you could for her and made sure she was as comfortable as she could be since the kittens were born. I can understand your not wanting to bring the kittens back, not even Bean. It's for the best, I'm sure, because he would be a continuous reminder of Lottie.

Poor little girl, she didn't have a long life but you made sure that she had a GREAT life while she was with you. Take comfort in that. She loved you and trusted you enough to let you handle her kittens. She was a happy kitty, because of you. She's gone to a better place now where there is no pain.

Take all the time you need to deal with her passing the way you need to. We have to grieve before we can heal. I think Max understands, in his own cat way, that something is very wrong which is why he's clingy. Assure him that you're still there for him and take all the comfort you can from him. I think that's what he is trying to show you.

mental, i promised an internet friend here in mylot that he could have one of the kittens, the one i revived, but i just couldn't face it right now, but the cats home told me that i can have them once they are weaned and stronger, so i may just get them back if they are in good health, i don't want to let my friends down after promising them something, so i will see how they get on and if they get better then i will go and collect them, the place that have the kittens will find homes, they never put a healty cat down, they just need time to get stronger and feed more, lottie couldn't feed them and i was exhausted feeding all 6 on my own, so they are in a safe place and i am sure they will be taken care of, i have not given up on them, they are there so they can be taken care of by someone who has more experience than me, lottie was a wonderful little soul, always happy but these past few weeks she's been getting weaker and weaker....in a way i am glad that she's gone because she's not suffering any more, but in another way i am sad because of all the pain she went thorough....i just hope that she's happy where she is now...

i do believe that max knows, he's been very clingy and affectionate, not like he normally is, so i think he knows, i am so sad that this has happened and i have cried my eyes out since the vet took her this evening, she suffered so much, the kittens are being taken care of at the moment, 2 of them are sick, and are being treated, they arw with a donor cat who is nursing at the moment, i just hope they all make it, i don't want to go trough that again, it's been a horrible day all round....

horns, she was fine this morning, but as the day went on she got sicker so it must have taken it's toll on her, each time she moved she was in pain, so something was going on inside her body, she was too wealk for them kittens.... it was when she started to go limp that i called the emergency vet she couldn't even lift her little head up to drink water, she just looked so sick, he took her and told me not to expect too much at this point, i was NOT expecting him to call me and tell me she died...it's just so sad right now, she suffered so much....

I am sorry girly....it's just awful. But the one thing you do have is her amazing legacy as a mom....she has those beautiful babies. And one or more of them is going to remind you of her...just you watch!
I wish I could have helped....sometimes I wish I lived closer to everyone here so I could just come over and give you help with things.....sigh....

thankyou horns, i am feeling better today, it was just shocking news last night and i was so tored too, so everything just got the better of me, if i ever need some herbs then i will contact you, maybe for max because he's a great big lump of fluff and hardly moves, he's too laid back for his own good...lol...but i will miss my little girl she was such a sweet thing....

yes her kittens are sick too, it's heartbreaking, the vet said that she has more than likely infected by the male that got her pregnant, also because she was such a small cat, she had no strength for her kittens, i mean 6 of them trying to feed from her must have been too much for her to cope with, it's just a horrible feeling here right now, i think i may have put some pics in my photo's of her, she is out of pain now and i hope she's happy wherever she is, i am picking her up tomorrow and i am going tp b ury her in the garden where my other cats lay....she suffered so much, i didn't realise she was so sich until today so i had to get the emergency vet out to come anc check her, he took her straight away, he took the kittens too because he did say that they may be sick too.....they are being taken care of by a donor cat right now, so they are getting fed, i will call tomorrow and find out what's going on....i miss lottie so much, it doesn't feel the same here any more...

I really feel for you. Mom's cat, Cat, got an abscessed milk duct, it broke open and she lost all her milk. We ended up bottle feeding the 6 kittens. She nearly died, she might've if I hadn't been there to shove pills and raw hamburger down her throat. I was only 18 at the time and didn't have all the cat experience I have now, so that was a lot harder then then it would be now.

i have never had a she cat before elic, so i was only going by what people have told me in here, you have helped so much, but she was too weak, she was a slight little thing and wasn't strong enough to take on 6 of them, i know where ever she is, she will be hapy now, b ut i just miss her so much, even max is feeling it right now....

As you know, Nino died in June, and Star, who was raised by Nino and Nado, has lost weight and has been crying a lot since Nino passed. She didn't lose weight, but did hunt and cry for Nado when he died.

What surprised me when Nado died was that Scamp, who hated him, seemed to miss him.

it's really sad isn't it? i know people will say (oh it's only a cat) i have had this said to me before when i have lost cats in the past, it's not true, they are not JUST cats, they are part of our family and get treated like family, lottie was such a gentle little thing and she just didn't have the strength to cope with the pressure of feeding 6 kittens, i was exhaused too, i could handle 6 of them on my own, but they are sick too so they need treatment, i am not going to get an more cats now, i am done, me and max will be fine, i will bring lottie home tomorrow and she will be buried with my other cats in the garden, i just feel lost right now....even max keeps going to the wardrobe where lottie stayed with her kittens, i think he thinks that they are still there, i did what i could for her but i know she is fine now, she is in no more pain....

see, I'd be keeping one of her kittens, I know you are heart broken, I am for you. I've been told that someone is bringing a foundling tonight - I personally think the best thing to do is get a new baby - but that's just me... Probably WHY I have so many...

i am thinking about it, but right now it's just too raw, so i have a choice i can ask them to return them when they are bigger or let them go, i may go and tell them that i want bean, he is the one i wanted from the start, but once they are in a cat home they get scooped up straight away, i will see how i feel once i am feeling better, but just now i don't think i could face having another cat here....

well, the vet says that Jool is 3 weeks, so about the same age as your kittens

i told the locum vet about this and he was appalled pye, he told me to get on the phone and have it out with him because of what she was put through, it's negligence on his part, believe me i will be suing that B for what she went through, i have watched her suffer and i had to get her checked, the anti-biotics were not enough, they didn't work because she was already sick....so i will be talking to him about this...he's put my cat through hell....and he's caused heartache for me, also 6 little kittens have lost their mother...they are in a cat home right now being taken care of, they are sick too....this is just not good, i am heartbroken, it's just so unreal right now, i have had alot to deal with these past few days and now this....it's just not fair....she didn't deserve to go through that.... know now tha she is not in any more pain but it shoudl never have happened....

no i don't mind at all because i was thinking the same myself, that vet is a f*kin B and i want some answers, it seems that he is out to make money but he's not doing his job, i want him struck off, i will get the papers from the emergency vet telling me what killed her snd i will be filing a lawsuit agains that other vet, he's not getting away with that...no way, my poor baby suffered because of that idiot, so no i don't mind if you rant, i will be ranting right in his face when i get to see him....he'll hear me, believe me this isn't the last he's heard of this...

It makes you wonder if that vet did the same negligence to other pet owners...he should be stripped of his license and not practice ever again

Give him hell, Tatty! He deserves to suffer 100 times what you and your poor sweet cat have suffered! Make him pay, I hope he loses his license. Maybe you can file criminal charges against him too, not sure what the laws are where you are. I hope you find a good lawyer who is an animal lover and willing to take up the cause without charging a ton of money. You are justified in your anger, let him feel the full wrath of your fury. Just try not to kill him, even though he SHOULD die, unfortunately it is really hard to get away with giving him what he REALLY deserves - a slow and painful death.

I am so very sorry for your pain and that Lottie suffered and now the babies are sick because of that incompetent heartless scumbag. Words fail to express how much I'd like to hop on a plane and get to where you are just so I could do bad things to that evil vet.

You know somebody should call the local news or newspaper and say something. Let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. As to what is happening at this vet's place. Somebody needs to make him pay. Pye is right this can't be the first time this has happened. Don't let him get away with this. You owe it to your kitty. You owe it to the next kitty that goes under his knife. Don't let somebody else suffer like you are today. That would be the long term tragedy.

kittie, i have spoken to an advisor today, the vet that took lottie last night was outraged, he couldn't believe what i told him, he was livid, he gave me some numbers to call so i can slam that barstard, this is not going to be sniffed at, my cat suffered so much because of that thick little runt, i will be seeing a lawyer on monday and i will be filing a lawsuit against him, he is incompetent and negligent, how can someone qualify as a vet if they have no idea what they are doing...it's ludicrous, i am more angry than grieving today, once this is over i am gonna make sure his face goes in the papers, i am also gonna find out of anyone else has suffered at the hands of this butcher, my poor little girl suffered terribly, and i am not going to drop this till i get some answers and compensation, not only has she lost her lifr BUT her babies ae without a mother, i have had them removed from my home because i cannot cope with feeding 6 on my own, it's just not fair, so they will go to homes and i won't even get the chance to watch them grow....i am sooooo fkin angry right now, i want to go and ram my fist down his throat till it comes out of his arse...so i will be suing him, there's no doubt about that, it's just not fair what happened to my cat, she did not deserve to go through that....
