Planning to travel around the USA

When my children are grown up, I'd like to take a year out and travel around the States. I don't know much about a lot of them though, can you tell me about the state you live in, what its like and what there is to do there? And about other states you have visited?

I don't live in the USA but I have been there three times in my life. I love in in California. It is wonderful to travel up the coastline. San Diego has lovely beaches and is a friendly city. Los Angeles is huge with many attractions. It has Disneyland, Beverly Hills, Hollywood and Venice Beach. Santa Barbara is a wonderful place that is very picturesque. San Francisco is a lovely city with seals to see, a steep street and an old tram. When I go back to the States I would love to see Cape Cod and Boston. Good luck planning your trip around the wonderful USA in the future.
