How mant times do your bathe or shower in a day?  |

|  On hot and humid days, we bathe or shower more than once. I know in some regions in the world they do not have the luxury of a water bath. They take sponge bath. On the other hand, the rich and famous have jacuzzis to lie in and have flower petal baths off and on to pamper themselves. I remembered that in certain cultures, if you are bathing, it should be before 12 noon. Apparently, they are superstitious that bathing ta lunch time is bad for our health.So how many times a day do you bathe or shower? I have a bath regularly but on super hot days, I bathe in the morning, noon and at night just before dinner. Come by and give me your practices and experiences in bathing.

| |  During the winter, spring and fall its usually once a day. During the summer months depending on the heat it could be up too three times in a day. However, its mostly twice aday for me. Once in the morning and once at night. If I was doing yard work or exercising than I would have to take an afternoon shower.

| | lelin, thanks for sharing. Good to know that bathing is quite universal but I guess in water deficient areas like Greece and the Middle-east, bathing oftentimes is a luxury. Just to bathe a day would be wonderful in those countries, I think. | | | |

| | Yes, bathing is a must in equatorial Malaysia.Imagine after a walk in the park, you would have sweated profusely, what more when cooking in a sweltering kitchen preparing lunch and dinner. | |  I usually bath the least three times a day no matter the weather is humid or cold. Whenever I woke up from my sleep in the morning I will take a quick shower and then continue to do whatever i am doing.If i have classes I would have bathed once and the next one will be during lunch hour but if I have no classes I would bath before and after lunch. Usually in the evening I will bath again after the evening jog and after dinner would be a leisure time for me and around 9 I would take a quick shower before I go to bed.

If I am going out, I will take a shower before go out.
Due to our hot and humid weather..taking a shower before
go out is refreshing! Then before sleep, I will take
another quick shower..then only fresh and nice to sleep!
If the whole day I am at home, I will take my bath once.
And again in depends on the weather too!
My mum told me we should not take bath at 12 pm, noon.
Perhaps based on some culture, or beliefs that the time
is not good for bath...maybe some fengshui, ying & yang
hidden explanations there! Another time range that need
to observe will be no more bath after 7.00pm because by
that time the sun has set. I think the reason will be..
the temperature is cold (long time ago, no heater - water
will be extremely cold) if bath at that point of time, our
body will exposed to cold and might get sick and suffer
rheumatism at old age! But my mum & those older generation
says that it is during that hour the spirits roam, so not
advisable...I believe every myth has its scientific theory
behind it!

| | Yes, all these advice for the elders are not exactly superstitions.They could be following advice given down from the generations. Perhaps,their forefathers and mothers told them not to to bathe after 7 pm because that was more for those residing in China or those in temperate climes. The 12 o' clock high advice might be a superstition. These days, people shower all the time, at even those odd hours. Nothing untoward has happened to them, putting paid to these old wives' tales. | |  During hotter season, in a day...I bathe twice (morning and night / evening)..In cold season...just one and not more than that :-)
To bathe, I don't go by superstitions but by my body odour..haha :-)

| |  i usually only shower once per day, but on the really hot hunid days i will take 2 baths. i really dont have time for 2, so more than that would be impossible!
