Best entry level camera at an affordable price? |
|
I have been searching for the best entry level DSLR with an affordable price. I found three entry level camera which fits my budget and at the same time has a lot of features for an entry level camera. The deciding factor for these cameras are its price and the features you get for the low price of the camera. Here are the following cameras that I found during my research.
1. Pentax KM (K2000) PROS: *old lens are compatible with the new DSLR *Excellent Raw Images *ISO up to 3200 *image stabilization *Affordable Lens Cons *terrible jpeg conversion
2. Olympus E-420 PROS: *Live View *Smallest & Lightest DSLR among the three *ISO up to 3200 *Orientation sensor *Affordable Lens CONS: *Terrible high ISO images *JPEG and RAW files have little difference and images at high ISO are not sharp
3. Sony a200 PROS: *Excellent sharp images *Image Stabilization *Orientation sensor CONS: *Expensive lens
Right now I am still confused which among the three should I get. Asides from the things I mentioned above there are other factors I should consider. Among the three Sony provide the best availability of lens and accessories. It is easy to buy from Sony cause I could order from the Sony Center any lens or accessory from their catalog. For Olympus a lot of shops here sells lenses and accessories but they don't have a complete catalog for there lens and accessories. Pentax is the hardest to find here in my place. Even though there is a Pentax manufacturing plant in our place they don't sell them here. One thing that places pentax in my list is because I own two Pentax SLR camera and my old lens are compatible with the Pentax KM and vice versa. I really need some help in deciding which one to buy. Any advice would be a great help.

elmasahe (332) | 5 months ago | I think Nikon and Canon produce the best DSLR in the market today. The only problem is the prices of their camera and lenses. I'm still trying to learn photography and I think its not practical for me to buy an expensive camera. Eventually I will buy a Nikon or Canon if my skills will improve.

2. sexyposh (130) | 5 months ago | I am looking for one too. And so far the best deal for an entry level I found was the 1000D of Canon. I love the colors and tone it produces. Nikon is good too, but I think its too common. Sony is cool too.. usually their offer is if you buy their camera you'll have an option to have two kit lenses... Happy searching!

3. thebeing (444) | 5 months ago | i don't know who lied to you, but sony alpha200 is NOT a good camera. I used one with a tammy 24-75 f/2.8 and it was slower than my nikon d70 with sigma f/3.5-5.6. Not to talk about the iso and the quality of the images. I would recommend a used nikon d70 or a d80 instead of a sony alpha200. Don't really know anything about those other 2 cameras.

elmasahe (332) | 4 months ago | Yes I have to agree with you. I just bought a E-420 and one of the problems I encountered is that the cam is too small for my hand. I am always careful when I use it cause it feels like my cam will slide from my hands.

5. blueeyedmommy03 (201) | 3 months ago | Personally I love Canon's they just have great picture quality. And you can find a few on QVC.com they also have most of them you can get in monthly installments, that is how I purchase mine. It makes things alot easier. Good luck

elmasahe (332) | 3 months ago | I think Canon has the best picture quality among all the entry level cameras I research on the net. What made me decide to buy the Olympus was the features the camera has for an entry level camera. I also realized that Olympus lenses are much cheaper compared to Canon and Nikon. Anyway hanks for the suggestion blueeyedmommy.
