Why is it so hard to lose weight?  |

This is a question that baffles me so much because, there are so many diets, exercise programs and still we can't lose weight. My observation has to do with being consistent. How can we really motivate ourselves to lose weight? Need you input on this

They are not accepted my love due to my weight only . i m decide to reduce my weight due to my friends . for the past one month i m daily wakw up by 5 am and do running exercise for 1 hour and then yoga for 1 hour . Not taking food in the morning . In the Noon only small amount of rice and in the night only vegetables . i m leave the habit eating more snacks and pizza . Now my weight is reduced 87 to 80 . Please work with a self confidence and achieve it

3. happyness3 (296) | 5 months ago | It is a matter of consistency, and also the program that you use. There are as many get thin scams out there as there are get rich ones! The only true way to lose weight in my opinion is to count calories and exercise 3-4 times per week. I have tried pills and drinks...but the only time that I lose weight is when I watch my calorie intake, and eat a balanced diet, and exercise at least 3 times per week. If you are looking for a program to help you with this, weight watchers works really good for my best friend, but I just count my own calories.

in my life i have been trying many ways to control my weight. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. now i get the basic conclusion is to do excerise more and eat less. it's easy to say, i know.
I also try to skip my dinner. now in one month i lost a few kg,i'm really glad for what i got.
so even it's hard, if you insist to do according your plan. in a couple of months you will find you really get it.

Not very helpful of a word and when you think about it all the food and drink you have to give up to lose the weight? That's what I used to think but its not that bad once you learn just to change habits. It's a lifestyle change more than anything else. You have to just get up and do it. The exercise should be done with friends so you have something to talk about. And if friends are busy just grab your ipod and go to your local gym or park. And if your like me and live in the desert go to the Mall and walk around but the smells might get you. If that's the case keep snacks in your pockets. Fruits and vegetables in ziploc bags are just the ticket. Being prepared is the most important thing. Because lets face it? We have to eat. But we have the ability to choose - read the packages before you consume them. Educate yourself about your sodium and fat intake. I have Hypertension so I stay away from processed foods and make it fresh. Remember its your temple take care of it! Happy MyLotting:)

I grew up watching my mom go through countless weightloss programs, and she constantly tried to get me to join her in them eventhough I avoided them like the plague. I've seen her try different diets, different pills, different exercises, over and over again... and even the ones that worked for a little while didn't make her happy.
So I don't worry about losing weight, I worry about maintaining a healthy weight. When I eat properly and get exercise, my weight is exactly as it should be for me. There is no magical number that everyone should see on the scale, and trying constantly to make your number go down (or up, for that matter) is more likely to make you less healthy, because you aren't supposed to suddenly lose or gain huge amounts of weight.
I eat what I want, when I want... I follow my cravings, but I also make sure that my meals are healthy ones. I don't mean that I count calories or fat content, just that I stay away from obviously unhealthy things and cook real meals whenever I can. I go for walks every day as just part of my routine - if it will take me less than half an hour to walk there, I don't bother taking the bus.
My body gets the energy it needs, as well as the oportunity to burn off that energy, which makes me healthy and happy - and in my opinion that is more satisfying than following a strict diet and spending all my time worrying about my waist line... and I can have a freezer full of ice cream without feeling guilty.
Honestly, eventhough I don't worry about it, my weight doesn't change much. It goes up and down slightly from time to time, but it's usually when I've been less active for a while or haven't been able to afford the healthier foods I prefer. I'm 5'9", usually around 150lbs, and happier than I ever would be on any diet.

I did find something that, despite my difficulty, has managed to work (and it would work much better if I would just stick to it!). I think dieting really has to do with finding the method that best suits your interests and your goals, and sticking to it despite temptations.
