Does it tick you off when people pay too much attention to their phones?

Yes! If someone is having a night out with me, or lunch, or whatever, and they keep texting other people, it really annoys me! If I'm out with someone I'll send 1 or 2 messages to my man to say what's going on, when I'll be home etc, but I'm out with somebody else and I owe them my attention! My man actually spends a lot of time on XBox Live playing against colleagues he's seen all day at work, which also annoys me as he has his headset on and I can't chat to him when I've been home with the kids all day and no adult company. Same kind of thing. But like when someone invites you round and keeps texting, its just plain rude!

I depends on the situation I think. If it is a friend that I see very often it not a big problem that she uses her phone while we are together, but if we live in different parts of the country and can't meet very often, I find it annoying and impolite. I have a friend who who lives in the south of Denmark. It is not close to my home and we can't meet very often. When we are finally together I don't spend the time on texting other people, but she often does that. I find it very impolite to invite someone to your home and spend the time on your phone instead of the person you invited.

OH MAN! I know it is so frustrating and even if no one is texting them they still continue to look at the damn screen of the mobile phone until someone does! Can't they just wait until they hear a ring or whatever sound that comes up when ya receive a text message. Oh Blah!
