And for a few days of hot we get all the environazis calling gullible warming. Chicken Little wasn't as crazy as them.

The humidity up here was nasty. That is something you folks are supposed to be used to aren't you?

The humidity here was so high we were getting condensation running off the toilet tank! That's when I know it's high.

Cher -- did you get any of the flooding?

70 was quite comfortable when it cooled to that. Now however, we are getting Septemberish weather. Sigh. That was a quick one this year.

Mike, your comment on the plexiglass storm windows got me to thinking how Blessed we've been in the Caribbean this year as far as tropical storms and hurricanes. Unbelievable after last year.

HEY, I just downloaded a fee program from C-Net, called Earth Alerts that should keep me up to date in what's happening weatherwise around the globe. Just found out there was another earthquake off the coast of Peru(?) and a volcano erupted in Hawaii. I didn't get all the details yet.

The weather around here changes fast enough as is without me chasing around trying to keep up with the rest of the world.

However, being as we are so close and that we are affected by the weather from there, I do keep a notice about the weather around the Alaska panhandle. I watch Deadliest Catch on Discovery and I can somewhat relate to the guys who fish up that way. The Pacific coast and the Bering Sea provide our weather year round. It can be snotty.

Different than what you get obviously. But I am entertained enough by our weather thanks.

There are 365 1/4 days per year. Our normal is 7 of them needing A/C. I sweat instead. Most people up here don't have them either. We just don't need them.

all i can say is you are really lucky Mike...My electric bill is high in the summer, and you are lucky you do not have that to pay..Sorry but i am from Houston Tex, and i do not know anything about your part of the country....We sweat like bullets here in Texas, we make our electric company RICH in the summer..

What I save on electricity in the summer, our government is taking somewhere else to pay for the 2010 Olympics and other stupidly expensive projects to make our premier famous.

All I want to do is strip him and any future politician of the power to stick it to the people without any recourse. Politicians are supposed to serve but ours are spending my kid's lunch money to look good. So I have no savings. Even wiothout A/C.

They are all in the south where they always happen. If we just let them burn themselves out, the problem will go away. But in BC, we have taken fire suppression to an art form. And so each year we have problems where nature is trying to do it's own job of fixing things for future sustainable growth.

The folks who live in those fire danger areas remind me of the folks who live in hurricane or tornado areas. I don't know why.

It's an ant/grasshopper thing I think...

We get winter here in spades and so if it's not winter, you are thinking about what you just had or what you are going to get.

I didn't know Kitimat could get hot. Snowy like a bugger though. I had a friend who lived there a short time. I put in a friend request.

LOL. Yup, and I complain just as much about the snow as I do about the heat. But truth be told I wouldn't live anywhere else in the world.
