Best Rapper Alive?

Well i think Lil Wayne is a hot subject. But doesn't all of his songs sound the same. He Raps about the same things over and over. Don't get me wrong i enjoy his music. But there is no deep or political meaning behind his lyrics. He just raps about being rich, Is that what hip hop has been reduced to. Rapping about Money, Car, And jewelry.

Rap is now fully commercialized and most of what you hear on the radio or see on TV is being produced simply to make money. I have been a big fan of rap/ hip hop since I first bought Whodini's 'Escape' back in the early 1980s. I've watched it go through many different phases and it is currently at it's lowest point. Like any type of music that becomes commercialized it divides the genre in to artists and performers. Artists have something to say, there is a great deal of thought put into their lyrics, they are trying to use language in new ways and they have a message they want to get across. Performers, like Lil Wayne and just about every other mainstream rapper are nothing but trained monkeys doing the same thing over and over with no real value. Please do not comment on the 'trained monkeys' reference, it is not a racial slur it is a common idiom, when I say that I am including all commercial rappers no matter what race they are. If you want to hear real hip hop you'll have to look underground for anything with meaning. Why should we care about what car someone drives, how many houses they have or that they have a 'grill' (the stupidest trend in history).

Well despite all the hating i like him. i think he is totally hot. I belive he deserves those awards. I like his songs, he is sexy. He songs do sound alike sometimes but so do most of the rest of these rappers they repeat the same things over and over and sound the same most of the times. Lil Wayne just makes it sexy.
